life. It there is an interference with one, it effects the whole. This is related to the
nurses purpose because nurses strive to help patients reach their ultimate health
whether it is a mental or physical illness.

Nursing Theorist

Similar to Peplau, nurses have many roles that aide them in their practice
and help assimilate into many different situations. Peplau stated that a nurse can
be a teacher, a resource, a counselor, a leader, a technical expert, and a surrogate.
This is related to my nursing philosophy, because I believe nurses adapt to their
surroundings to provide the best care.

listens to the patient to promote their well being and the patient can
depend on the nurse to be their advocate (Powers, 2012).

Challenges
