This review focused mainly on how Jane Austen treated males and females
through out the novel and how manners were a large part of society during this
time. She also gave some historical background about Jane Austen and Pride and
Prejudice. Francis summarized the novel in a few short paragraphs but got
straight to the point. She did an excellent job in carefully analyzing each character
and the story. Francis noted that Jane Austen was unable to create a believable
male character but was very good at depicting the women since Austen had more
contact with women. Austen never showed signs of turmoil of the French
Revolution in her novels, which Francis and many readers noticed.

Sparknotes gave a great overview of the plot of the story. This summary is more
detailed and explains the story very clearly, which is great for a person who is
interested in reading the novel. This summary reveals how much drama that
occurs in this novel but also the romance that is happening along side. This is
what keeps this novel a page-turner. I found this summary quite insightful and I
was able to see how the story unfolds.

GradeSaver gave a more detailed summary of the novel and gave the reader of
this summary a clearer idea as to whats going on. This summary is something
that can be used as a cheat-sheet for someone who has never read the book but

This summary offered key points that are helpful when trying to remember the
most well known parts of this book. The summary is missing some key points but
this can be a decent resource for new readers. The summary was to the point and
even gave an estimated time of how long it should take to read this book, which is
great for someone who wants to enjoy the book but has a tight schedule.

This summary gives a great synopsis of the story but it also informs the reader of
this summary that this book isnt all about finding romance. This book is a
representation of how the social classes and women were like during this time. I
think this summary provided great information about the story and was very
meticulous about all the different relationships, romantic or not, that were
concurrently occurring in the book.

This review really views this novel as a whole rather than focusing on just the
relationship of Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth. The author of this review was not
primarily focused on the love stories but was focused on how the characters
attitudes and decisions could be seen as lesson on heroism and how each character
shines in their own way. This review was beautifully written and allowed the
reader to create their own ideas of how the book was going to unfold.

Schmoop gives a modern twist on the summary of a classic novel by writing the
summary in terms that young adults and teenagers can understand and find a
connection. This summary was written with humor and also respect for Jane
Austen all while trying to capture the attention of a younger audience.

After reading the summary, the title of the novel makes complete sense. Elizabeth
Bennet was Prejudice against Mr. Darcy and Mr. Darcy said his pride made him

Najera, Adriana
act rudely towards Elizabeth. This summary was lengthy, comprehensive and a
gave a great perception into what some of the characters think of each other.
