Unit II: Whats Out There for Me?


Exploring Ontario Universities and Colleges

University and college websites can be very useful resources for high school
students looking for information about programs, admission requirements,
tuition fees, residence, etc. There is so much information on these websites
that it is not uncommon to feel overwhelmed or lost while navigating them.
The purpose of this activity is to become familiar with the layout of these
websites, learn the most effective ways of navigating them, and learn more
about what post-secondary institutions have to offer.
TASK:
To deliver a presentation to the class on the university/program of your
choice.
Criteria:
Minimum 7 minutes in length
PowerPoint/Prezi accompaniment
Model to class how to navigate university website (to reach particular
program)
Cover the information on the worksheet below
Submit worksheet
Once you have selected an Ontario university or college to profile,
use that schools website to conduct the research in the table
below.
