VRAY GLOBAL AMBIENT OCCLUSION

Hello friends. In this occasion, 3dxmodels presents information about the

VRAY GLOBAL AMBIENT OCCLUSION option available since VRAY 1.5 SP3.
For an easy understanding of how this characteristic works,
I have prepared a series of tests to clearly visualize this tools results.
You can find this VRAY tool in the INDIRECT ILLUMINATION section (G.I).

The customizable options offered by VRAY GLOBAL AMBIENT OCCLUSSION

are the following:
ON: enables or disables the AMBIENT OCCLUSION.
The value next to ON is to control the ambient occlusion intensity on the
shaded area; with lower values intensity decreases, and with higher values
intensity increases.
Radius: This controls the shade extension generated by ambient occlusion.

With lower values the shade generated by ambient occlusion covers less area
over the affected geometry, whereas a higher value increases the extension of
the shade generated by ambient occlusion over the affected geometry.
Subdivs: This controls ambient occlusions quality. The lower the value, the
lower quality we will obtain. If we increase subdivisions, we increase quality
but also rendering time. That parameter is very similar to subdivisions in the
VRAY lighting.
Following, some tests carried out for you to observe the differences in
the obtained results.
