Who we are
At SoluForce we develop, manufacture and market flexible
composite pipes for various uses
in the oil and gas industry. We are
the technological leader in manufacturing
flexible
composite
pipes, or RTP. Customers around
the world have been benefiting
from the SoluForce system products, know-how and experience
since 2000. They use our system
for both onshore and offshore

applications such as flow lines,

water injection or gas transport.
The SoluForce pipe system
is completely non-metallic and
meets international standards for
water, hydrocarbons and gas applications.
We supply a complete fitting
system for our flexible RTPs.
This makes it easy to connect a

Design and reliability

Quality assured

Built to last

The SoluForce system has a solid track record in the oil and gas industry
and has been in use since 2000 for a variety of applications. These include
oil and gas utility pipelines, water distribution / injection lines, oil and gas
transportation flow lines, and gas and oil gathering lines.

The reliability of SoluForce is guaranteed by extensive lab testing and

long-term field experience. To assess long-term strength, SoluForce is
pressure-tested for over 10,000 hours thats more than one year in line with
internationally accepted standards.
One of the most important test
criteria ensures that the fitting
system is stronger than the pipe
itself. After corrosion, third party
interference is the major cause of
conventional pipeline failure. Because SoluForce Light and Classic are completely non-metallic,
including the fitting system, they
offer the ultimate solution in corrosion resistance. Their resistance to third party interference,
earthquakes and landslides has
been verified in the lab by falling
weight impact testing, axial load
and bending testing under the

Every SoluForce product is developed with a strong focus on

reliability, simplicity of installation
and use but above all safety.
SoluForce maintains the highest
levels of quality in the design, manufacturing and testing of all its
products. As a result, they meet
or exceed the various recognised
international standards.
SoluForce products comply with
the following standards:

SoluForce Light: L450/L540

SoluForce Light is reinforced with
synthetic fibre tape and has a
maximum operating pressure of
36 bar for the 4-inch L450 pipe
and 29 bar for the 6-inch L540
pipe. SoluForce Light provides
an excellent, flexible solution for
low to medium-pressure fluid
transportation. Because it is fully
non-metallic, it serves any sour
application without restrictions on
H2S and CO2 content.

SoluForce Classic: M480/M570

Soluforce Classic is also reinforced
with synthetic fibre tape but it has a
maximum operating pressure of 90
bar for the 4-inch M480 pipe and
72 bar for the 6-inch M570 pipe.
SoluForce Classic is an excellent,
flexible solution for medium to high
pressure fluid transportation. Being
fully non-metallic, it is ideal for even
the toughest application, such as
sour service, without restrictions on
H2S and CO2 content.

SoluForce Heavy: H415/H515

SoluForce Heavy is reinforced with
high-strength steel wire and has a
maximum operating pressure of
150 bar for the 4-inch H415 pipe
and 150 bar for the 6-inch H515
pipe. SoluForce Heavy is specially
developed for very high-pressure
(saline) water injection and provides an excellent, flexible solution
for high-pressure water transport.
The SoluForce Heavy pipe is

Connection systems

Electro fusion

Flexible thinking
SoluForce fittings and connectors for the Light and
Classic systems rely on electro fusion. This means
that you need only limited equipment and crew on
site to create a safe, fast and durable connection
and this results in a maintenance-free system that has
been shown to stand the test of time.
The SoluForce inline coupler
connects two lengths of SoluForce pipe. The electro fusion
inline couplings are completely
non-metallic and ensure that the
transported fluids are never in
direct contact with steel, thus
preventing potential corrosion.

The right connections

Every business needs the right connections. For yours, we offer a wide range
of fittings and connectors to ensure a safe and solid coupling whether its to a
SoluForce product or existing infrastructure.
The SoluForce inline coupler connects two lengths of SoluForce
pipe. By using highly portable
machinery only limited equipment
is needed on site to create a safe,
fast and durable connection.
Result: a maintenance-free system
that has been proven over many
years of operation.
The SoluForce flanged fittings

18

also use the same machinery and

deliver the same advantages.
These fittings are used to connect
to other standard pipeline components, such as valves and conventional steel pipe connections.
SoluForce fittings and connectors
are easy to install and need only
limited crew. Add in the long lengths
of pipe and its easy to see why a

INSTALLATION EQUIPMENT

SWAGED FITTING SYSTEMS

High pressure, high quality

For the SoluForce Heavy system swaged fittings are used. The ease of installation,
limited crew needed and long lengths of pipe enable it to be installed in a fast and
safe way. Installations can be supported by a SoluForce technician or a local contractor can be trained to install the system.
There are two types of swaged fittings. Heres an at-a-glance guide.

Success made easy

On request youll receive training and support
from SoluForce to ensure that youre able to
install the system in a safe, quick and durable way.
The equipment, which can also be rented, is state of
the art and computer controlled. This guarantees that
all electro fusion couplings and fittings are installed in
a controlled, consistent and correct manner.

Far and away the smart choice

At SoluForce we work directly with oil operators, subsea contractors, engineering
companies, and industry suppliers to provide the added value required to run a
complex project. The SoluForce RTP pipe is easy to install, making it a durable
and economical solution for your offshore use.

SoluForce offers a number of

advantages over conventional (stainless) steel pipe and
other flexible pipe systems.
SoluForce is completely corrosion resistant even in extreme
sour service.
S
 oluForce has a smooth bore.

24

This ensures a much lower

flow resistance and improved
flow capacity.
S
 oluForce has an external
pressure resistance with a
maximum empty water depth
use of 80 metres/260 feet.
However, when fluid filled,
SoluForce may be used even

in deep water. As a temporary

test line, SoluForce has been
used at a water depth of 1000
metres/3280 feet.
SoluForce is happy to advise you
