PROFILE
An enthusiastic, energetic and hard working person who has developed a mature and
responsible approach to any task that I undertake, or situation that I am presented with.
With strong technical skills as well as good human skills, am willing to be challenged to
grow and improve my confidence and marketing or retail knowledge gained through
educational and working experiences. Currently I am an Undergraduate student at
University of Derby studying Information Technology (second year).

KEY SKILLS
Teamwork
Website Modernisation group project which was about the Derby Heritage Forum and we
needed to make two types of websites, one for desktop version and the other for mobile
devices. We have then put it all in a presentation for the teachers who asked us questions
to test our capability of working together and see how we worked together towards the
result. I learned that organisation and planning was the key to our project and constant
communication lead us to produce a well-constructed website.

Communication and writing skills

Answering phone-calls and communicating with new people daily. Having to memorise
and transmit vital information about our service users and sending messages using
emails, and at times had to take multiple calls within a short time limit, therefore I had to
be presentable no matter how big the pressure. Doing this I had developed most of my
talking skills because I got to learn and experience how to speak formally to clients or
managers and how to listen before I speak. Furthermore, I was responsible with Typing up
letters, printing them and emailing them, having learned the fact that not just speaking is
important but also how writing can be important and effective.

Working Under Pressure

Personally, I enjoy working under pressure because it puts me in the position where I must think
faster, whereas if I didnt have no pressure then I wouldnt have a motivation to do it. At
Nottinghamshire County Council I was responsible in dealing with financial documents which were
very strict and personal, and they had to be emailed to me every Wednesday when I worked on
reception, then I was meant to complete them by Friday the same week. Outcome was that I was
getting very good appraisal from my managers and I noticed that pressure of doing a big workload
under such short time was keeping my mind busy and gave me a motivating factor.

Presentational skills
There was a group project that required a presentation in front of the class for Introduction to Data
Analysis in the first year of University. The goal was to find two datasets each with at least 2000
entries which had errors, and we were meant to format them using coding in SAS, an analytical
software which also provides graphs and charts. Me and my partner had to this work within 2 weeks
and at the end we have been awarded with a 1:1 grade for the work we did. Here I have learned
presenting new acquired skills within a very short time limit having the pressure of other people
attending my presentation of this little project.

WORK EXPERIENCE & KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

Full Time Business Support Administration at Nottinghamshire County
Council August 2014-2015
Working as an apprentice for Nottinghamshire County Council, was one of the most
important things in starting my working life as I have could develop most of my skills and
attributes. I have been on reception at least one day per week where I have been able to
encounter many situations from which I have managed to handle almost all of them
safely.

I have been given a job in the admin area where I was supposed to archive thousands of
old or current patient files, furthermore I have offered introductory training to new
recruits and assisted them every time they needed assistance.
I was also given the responsibility to deal with the incoming and outgoing mail which was
supposed to be ready to go out by a certain time, and that was usually the receptionists
task.
Been successful in every task that the colleagues have asked me to do, for example I was
asked to take care of financial invoices which were required to be put on an electronical
register. Also, Ive had to work as a central services assistant where financial documents
were emailed to me that were meant to be put on an online framework, which could be
accessed by everybody within the organisation when needed.

Full Time Vision Express Warehouse Operative June 2016 August 2016
Working in a warehouse for Vision Express was a quite demanding job for me as I was
given no induction on how to use the tools and scanners, so I had to adapt rather quick to
the working conditions. However, after a couple of weeks, I had started to be moved
around other departments to cover holiday leaves for other colleagues where I managed
to complete my tasks accurately.

Part Time Marks & Spencer Warehouse Operative Autumn 2016

Like the previous warehouse job, I had the very accurate with the articles I am deal with,
because those get dispatched within a short period to the customers who bought online.
However, this job required more team working skills and here we must help each other
whenever the opportunity arises and we always had to watch each others backs
according to the Health & Safety regulations.

Part Time Kitchen Assistant at EMCC (East Midlands Conference Centre)

April 2014 September 2014
This job involved working under a constant pressure as the meals and dishes were meant
to be ready under critical evaluation and time limits. Here is where I have developed my
first skills in working as part of a team and where I learned that collaboration between
workers is a key to a job well done.
