Enrichment Techniques:
Students may use additional time to find another water video. Students may also create a poster or slide with the research they
have found about water.

to participate in the lesson):
Students will be provided additional time to complete the assignment, if needed, during study hall or recess. Students will also be
provided assistance from the teacher or paraprofessional if he/she is having difficulty uploading the pictures.
Lesson Presentation
Introduction/Motivational Activities/Anticipatory Set:
The class will go to the computer lab. The teacher will show the students the website http://www.go2web20.net/site/?
a=HotChalk .
The teacher will show the students a video chosen about water. The teacher will have the class answer the two guiding questions:
How does the water from this video effect the water cycle and how does it relate to the water cycle.
Detailed Teaching Sequence:

The students will be asked to use their log in to sign in to the computer.
The students will be asked to open Internet Explorer and go to the “Hot Chalk” website.
The students will search the site for a video related to water.
When the students have chosen a video they will view it.
The student will begin to answer the two guiding questions. They may view the video again if needed.
The teacher will walk around, monitor, and assist students that need help.
When the students are finished they will save their work.
Students will log out of the computer when they are finished.
The class will walk back to the classroom together.
Once in the classroom, the students will write a final copy of their responses to the two guiding questions.
Closure:
Each student will show the class their video they chose. The students will then read their responses to the two guiding questions.
Following their responses, the student will answer any question their peers may have.
