A hydraulic accumulator
can
be integrated into the new 8HP...
Series.
It enables a quick start in engine
stop-start mode by supplying the
shift elements with stored oil
pressure.
Only 350 milliseconds after starting
the engine the vehicle is ready to
drive. Using the stop-start mode
with HIS, the fuel consumption can
be reduced by another 5 %
In comparison to the worlds most
efficient 6 speed transmission from
ZF the newly developed 8 speed
automatic transmission reduces fuel
consumption by another 11 %
