A Bill to Replace Lead Pipes to Provide Safer Water to Americans
1 BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:
2 SECTION 1. All lead service pipes used in water infrastructure will be replaced with
3 copper pipes.
4 SECTION 2. Water infrastructure will not include pipes in private residences or
5 businesses. Those parties will be responsible for replacing their own
6 pipes.
7 SECTION 3. The EPA will determine which cities have lead service pipes and require
8 them to replace the pipes.
9 A. The cost of replacing the lead pipes will be the responsibility of said
10 cities.
11 SECTION 4. This bill shall take effect 30 days after it is enacted, and all lead pipes
12 must be replaced by January 1, 2030.
13 SECTION 5. All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.
A Bill to Limit the Use of Solitary Confinement
1 BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:
2 SECTION 1. Federal prisons shall adopt a new set of criteria to determine
3 whether an inmate may be sent to solitary confinement.
4 A. This criteria requires evidence of violence within the
5 prison and/or its facilities.
6 SECTION 2. Upon entering confinement, prisoners shall be informed of the
7 duration of their punishment.
8 A. Mentally ill prisoners shall be granted shorter periods of time
9 spent in isolation.
10 SECTION 3. The Federal Bureau of Prisons shall oversee the implementation
11 of this law.
12 SECTION 4. This bill shall take effect one-hundred days after its enactment.
13 SECTION 5. All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null
14 and void.

A RESOLUTION TO INCREASE THE PROPORTION OF WOMEN IN THE U.S. CONGRESS
1 WHEREAS, There needs to be a mandated proportion of women in the government meaning
2 that the U.S. will reserve 50% of seats in the House of Representatives for women
3 and 35% of seats in the Senate for women and
4 WHEREAS, As of 2016, women make up only 19.4% of members in the House of
5 Representatives and 20% of members in the Senate. In terms of actual numbers
6 there are currently only 104 women in the House of Representatives and 20
7 women in the Senate and
8 WHEREAS, Not enough women have the chance to be in the government there are men
9 making decisions on issues that women should be making: those decisions
10 specifically pertaining to womens rights. Therefore, be it
11 RESOLVED, By two-thirds of the Congress here assembled, that the following article is
12 proposed as an amendment to the Constitution of the United States, which shall
13 be valid to all intents and purposes as part of the Constitution when ratified by
14 the legislatures of three-fourths of the several states within seven years from the
15 date of its submission by the Congress:
16 FURTHER RESOLVED, Both houses of Congress will at all times employ a designated
17 proportion of women meaning that 50% of the seats in the House of Representatives and 35% of
18 seats in the Senate are reserved exclusively for women.
