Lesson objectives:
By the end of the lesson the Ss will be able to :
- identify items
- talk about activities and location and appearance
- write numbers
- write about actions happening now

Stages of the lesson:


Activity 1 warm-up
Aims: - to disrupt the Ss from the previous class and to make them feel
comfortable and confident about the English class
- to develop students speaking skills
Procedure: T uses an ice breaker. She tells Ss they are going to play a game. One
student will come to the front of the classroom and mime an action. The
other Ss will have to guess the action.
E.g. Are you skating?
- Yes

Activity 2 : Homework checking
Aims :

To correct mistakes

To revise old vocabulary

Procedure: T reminds Ss that last time they talked about abilities. Then T checks the
homework and Ss correct their mistakes, if necessary.

Activity 3: Lead in
Aims: to introduce Ss to the topic ( Revision)

Procedure: T tells Ss they are going to make a revision. T writes the title on the
blackboard and Ss in their notebooks.

Aims: - to revise numbers 20 - 100
- to develop students speaking skills
Procedure: T tells Ss to do ex.1 page 23

Aims: - to revise Present Continous, the verbs have got and can
- to develop speaking skills
Procedure: Ss do ex. 4 page 23 and T ckecks their answers.

Activity 6:
Aims: - to revise prepositions of place
- to develop students reading and speaking skills
Procedure: Ss in pairs, complete exercise 5/23. Then T checks their answers.

Aims: - to revise the numbers and the verb can
- to develop students speaking skills
Procedure: Ss have to read and match the sentences ( ex. 6 page 23 )

Aims: - to revise the old vocabulary and prepositions of place
- to develop students listening skills
Procedure: Ss have to listen to the CD and to draw lines, putting each object in
the correct place (ex: 7/24). Then T checks their answers.

Aims: - to revise old vocabulary
- to get feed-back from the Ss
- to evaluate the students performance
Procedure: T assigns the homework for the next English class. Ss have to make
some sentences using the verb can and their favourite activities (skate,
skip, sail, dive, swim )
