EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This report explains the business plan for the launching a new product line of bio-degradable bag
named as Green bag. This product has been made by G-planet Pvt. Ltd and is approved by
Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment. In the beginning, the company profile, its
mission statement and vision have been explained. Then, the product is introduced along with
process regarding the product development and stakeholders related to them. This product
examines that the product is initially launched in G-planets domestic market.
This report covers both primary and secondary research. The primary study focuses on survey of
the competitors, product development plan and preferences of the customers. Through this
strategy company can penetrate in the market and attract bulk of customers. The secondary sturdy
covers the SWOT analysis of the company to see the companys strength, weaknesses,
opportunities and threats. The purpose of making these products, benefits and objectives are duly
explained, along with the marketing mix strategy of the products. The market is divided into
different segments and pricing of the products among them is done accordingly.

Introduction
G-Planet Pvt. Ltd is a for profit company established in 2015 by 6 young, business school
students that manufactures and promotes the sale of environment friendly products and services,
especially the green bags. It is located in Dhapasi. It was established with a vision to give
alternative to the single usable plastic bags. The company also helps to empower people with

speech disorder by providing them employment opportunities. Their 25% staffs have speech
disorder.
G-Planet operates as a design and product supply company which creatively addresses the needs
and opportunities related to this world-wide issue of disposable shopping bags.
In addition to our own brand Green bags, we also provide a comprehensive design service, from
concept to finished products, as a tailored response to individual company or business
requirements.

History
On 14th April, coinciding with Navavarsha -New Years Day-the Nepal government decided to
ban the import, storage, selling and distribution, and use of plastic bags upto 40 microns
thickness and up to 20*35 inches (50.8*88.9 cm) size. The government took this decision to
address the environmental dangers associated by plastic bags. The citizens somehow complained
about this decision citing the unavailability of the alternatives of plastic bags. This is when the
idea of producing and distributing the multiple use green bags came up in the mind of a bunch of
business students.

Objectives
The objectives of the company will be as follows:
a. To enhance customer satisfaction by providing high quality service and value for
money.
b. To maintain a market share in Nepalese market and earn profit through maximum
turnover.
c. To maintain a productive and positive employee environment.
d. To help Nepalese business and industries got environmentally and climate smart.

e. To help Nepalese business competitive while improving their market image.

g. To provide employment to physically handicap and speech disorder people.

Paper bags are environmentally friendly bags made


from renewable resources. These bags are reusable,
recyclable, and decomposable. They are stylish,
light weighted and biodegradable in nature.
Companies like to use them as a way to advertise
products and events. The more times that a bag is
used, the more chances that others get to see it. This
very advantageous for companies.

presented in a way that makes them more stylish, durable and practical. Thus, they are available
in different designs and styles, and they display various important messages.

Composition
Standard brown paper bags are made from craft paper. Tote-style paper bags, such as those often
used by department stores or as gift bags can be made from any kind of paper, and come in any
color. Paper bags can be made from recycled paper, with some local laws requiring bags to have
a minimum percentage of post-consumer recycled content.

In the current era where pollution is an ever increasing


issues it is our responsibility to do what we can to help
prevent and minimize it. One of the biggest sources of
pollution is plastic bags. Plastic bags are nonbiodegradable and very costly and inefficient to recycle
when disposed.
Cotton Bags have proved to be an ideal replacement for
plastic bags. Bags made from these natural fibers are biodegradable, eco-friendly, reusable and at the same time
help create awareness to the disadvantages of using plastic
bags.
In addition to the above mentioned benefits there are other various advantages of using jute and

Simply, marketing is the process of planning and executing the conception, pricing, promotion
and distribution of ideas goods and services to create exchanges that satisfy individual and
organizational objectives. Today, market has become powerful science not only to satisfy
customers through value creation and delivery but also to achieve competitive edge in the market
place. So, for this effective marketing strategies are to be developed and implemented.
Our company recently produces green bags (i.e. jeans bag, paper bag, cotton bag) and in order to
involve in marketing activities regarding those bags, we follow Holistic marketing concept,
Holistic marketing concept is the latest development in marketing thoughts, emerged due to
social and technological challenges. It is the integration of:
Marketing concept (believes organizational objectives can be achieved by being more
effective than competitors in satisfying needs and wants of target market).

Research and development (R&D) department is one of the most important department
of G- Planet Pvt. Ltd. This department is mainly focused on the product improvement and quality
enhancement of green bags .there is one R&D manager to control this department.
The major functions of R&D department are:
1 To facilitate continuous development of green bags.
2 To ensure the quality enhancement and total quality management (TQM)
3 To conduct research on the probability of cost reduction of the product for customer satisfaction
and increase in demand of green bags.
4 To increase the awareness about importance of green bags in customers by coordinating with
marketing department through youth participation.
5 To conduct youth empowerment program by ensuring their participation in the environmental
preservation program.
Research and Development "Mero afnai soch xa" program
"Mero afnai soch xa" is a youth empowerment program conducted by G planet Research
and development department. Under this program people with ideas about the environmental
preservation are allowed to the member of G planet and work for the improvement of green
bags .Ideas regarding the effective distribution quality improvement and cost reduction of green
bags along with different new methods to create awareness in people about harmful effects of
plastic bags and motivate them to use green bags are given priority. The ideas are evaluated and
monitored by our team of experts so that it can be effectively implemented under the supervision
and leadership of the idea generator.
