Big Effects of Big Data

Do you how Germany win Brazil World Cup in 2014? Because Germany
using Big Data figured out opponents strategy and made strategy for a next game.
Likewise, there is no secret in these days. Advancements in telecommunications and
computer technologies have led to an exponential growth and availability of data. Big
Data makes people more comfortable than before.
The concept of data as a resource was popularized by peer-to-peer
systems. (Kambatla, Kollias, Kumar, Grama, 2014) Data storage and mining
technologies make it possible to preserve increasing amounts of data generated
directly or indirectly by users and analyze it to yield valuable new insights. For
example, companies can study consumer purchasing trends to better target
marketing. Big Data can expose peoples hidden behavioral patterns and even shed
light on their intentions. More precisely, it can bridge the gap between what people
want to do and what they do. This is how they interact with others and their life. Also,
uses of patient data could lead to the discovery of cures for a wide range of
devastating diseases and the prevention of others. Such as the Human Genome
Project is one project thats a testament to the promises of big data. Other types of
big data can be studied to help solve scientific problems in areas ranging from
climatology to geophysics to nanotechnology.
Secondly, Big Data reduces budget. Data can help enhance economic

efficiency, improve access to social services, strengthen security, personal services

and make increased availability of relevant information and innovative platforms for
communications. For instance, mapping apps provide drivers with real time
information about road congestions, which would allow them to select efficient
routes.(Kshetri, 2014) Big data can make organizations more efficient by improving
operations, facilitating innovation and adaptability and optimizing resources
allocations.(Kambatla, Kollias, Kumar, Grama 2014) For instance, combining and
analyzing data from test drives of prototypes, workshop reports and other sources,
BMW detects potential issues and vulnerabilities quickly and eliminates them before
new models are launched.
Finally, the public sector has begun to derive insight to help support decision
making in real time from fast-growing in-motion data from multiple sources, including
the Web, biological and industrial sensors, video, email, and social communications.
For example elected officials, administrators, and citizens all seem to recognize that
being able to manage and create value from large streams of data from different
sources and in many forms represents a new form of competitive differentiation.
(Kim, Trimi, Chung, 2014) Most governments operating or planning big-data projects
need to take a step-by-step approach for setting the right goals and realistic
expectations. Success depends on their ability to integrate and analyze information
through new technologies, develop supporting systems such as big-data control
towers and support decision making through analytics. (Kim, Trimi, Chung, 2014)

There is no secret that both private enterprise and government seek greater
insights into peoples behaviors and sentiments (Michael, Miller, 2013). The
reported work has called in Internet giants such as Baidu, Sougou, Facebook,

Yahoo, Huawei and preliminary results have been shown. To be specific, data
collection techniques in this work is based on open source solutions of search
engines and anonymous Web access logs. (Bondkar, Sachin, 2015) Big Data is the
newest technology such as smartphone. After few years, Big Data will make our life
convenient. As a connecter or an assistant, the demand of Big Data will increase
from present to future society. Big Data has many advantages as assisting peoples
work. Along with Computer technology, Software Innovation and Artificial
Intelligence, Big Data are based business of future industry and lead future life.
Then, computer dependence will be a trend. Many works will be done faster in
future.
