specification. We can currently cut thread up to 4 diameter and roll thread up
to 2 1/4 diameter.

ASTM F1554

As the name suggests, anchor bolts are used for anchoring structural supports to
concrete foundations. The most common uses include building columns, column
supports for highway signs, street lighting, traffic signals, steel bearing plates, bridges,
and many other applications.

The F1554 anchor bolt is currently the most common anchor bolt specification. This
specification includes Double End Studs, Bent Anchor Bolts, and headed configurations.
The ASTM F1554 anchor bolt come in three strength grades, two thread classes, and in
a range of different sizes.

Anchor Bolts

A&M Nut & Bolt manufactures anchor bolts in any configuration and
in every common material in the industry today. This includes ASTM
F1554 in grades 36, 55, and 105.

Double End Studs

Double End Studs are often

referred to as anchor rods,
threaded studs and several other
terms. They are a standard means
of anchoring a structure to its
foundation. They have been a
reliable method by which to anchor
things like a traffic signal poles
and 100-story buildings.
As load is applied to the structure
and the Double End Stud is pulled
away from the concrete it
becomes the job of the anchor
plate to hold firm by resisting
against the cured concrete above
it.

Bent Anchor Bolts

Bent Anchor Bolts are also commonly referred to as J-Bolts. They

are a standard means of anchoring a structure to its foundation. For
instance, they have been a reliable method by which to anchor
things like a backyard block wall and a small building.
There a several critical components to a bent anchor bolt. They are
as follows: The long leg, the short leg (or hook), the threads (on the
long leg), and the hex nuts and washers.

Tie Rod/Clevis Assemblies

Clevis Assemblies or Tie Rod assemblies

are threaded rod configurations that
utilize both right and left hand threads to
allow
for
easy
adjustment
and
tensioning.
Tie Rod assemblies are
often used on canopies, pipe supports,
and other structural steel cross bracing
applications. They can also be used to
increase the seismic integrity of an
existing structure.
Clevises are attached to structural steel
plate, or fabricated lugs using a pin
connection. This type of connection
ensures a straight and rigid connection
that is not susceptible to bending forces.
Tie Rod assemblies are attached to the
clevises.
