Why is it helpful for a story to be written in 1st person point of view?
I- Each point of view has its pros and cons. R-It- is helpful for a story to be written in 1st person point of view because A -it gives you a deep understanding of one character. C-In the story, Hey, Little Ant, the feelings of the "kids are conveyed. For example, he yells to the ant, "Can you hear ME?" and "I'm so big and you're so small." E-If this story was written in 3rd person by me, and I was standing a distance away and saw the boy talking to the ant, I may have written that the boy was happy to have met the ant and was trying to save it because I was not actually involved in their interaction, but only watching. The first person PoV takes the guessing out of what a character is feeling because the information is straight from it.
