This article focuses on what happens at a coffee house and the different people that can be
found in there. It goes from a girl sitting on her laptop to women gossiping and laughing to a kid
falling asleep on a stroller. Coffee shops have taken over families gathering around someones
house and sipping their favorite drink. In general, coffee shops are a place where you can spend
hours working using their free Wi-Fi and buying large amounts of coffee to stay awake.
I found this article interesting because it was the main reason as to why I chose the coffee
house as my practicum. Coffee houses are a place where people of different kinds can come
together and talk for hours and study. It was an interesting place to observe because there was so
much human interaction going on.

This article talks about the opening of 12,000 new coffee houses set out by Starbucks.
Starbucks is the largest coffee chain in the world and they plan to extend their stores within the
next 5 years. The number of these stores have increased dramatically within the last few years.
This article caught my attention because I see that the number of coffee houses is increasing.
The demand for more coffee houses means that people are actually enjoying themselves in these
places. They are used for multiple things and since there are more stores being built means that
multiple people come here a lot.

This article talks about how a coffee shop owner in London limits the use of Wi-Fi because
many come to the coffee shop just to get wireless connection. Some even unplug the lamps that
the store has just to plug in their laptops. Many people dont like this because they dont want to
deal with professional networking.

I found this article interesting because I have never thought of a coffee house like that. In the
US, there are plenty of coffee shops who dont put a limit on how long you can be there. Im one
of those people that will come into a coffee shop and stay there almost the whole day to do my
homework. Usually when Im there, the atmosphere is quiet and pleasant which is why I usually
stay for a long time. If they ever limit the use of Wi-Fi, I would probably not know where else to
go.

This article talks about the rise of coffee house in England. English people love coffee so
building more coffee shops is a blessing. Coffee is a major global commodity, with over 400
billion cups being consumed a year. It is the only addictive psycho-active substance that
overcame all resistance to its consumption.
This article intrigued me because I would of though English people went to coffee shops to
do work, or to socialize. They actually drink cups and cups of coffee, compared to me that I only
buy one cup to last me for my whole visit there.

Daily Voice. N.p., n.d. Web. 13 Dec. 2016.
This article talks about how a librarian wants to change the atmosphere of their local library
to something more. It isnt like a coffee shop where people can sit down and talk or socialize, or
at least thats what many think. A library is a place where you can visit to unlock your creativity.
I liked this article because I love how people set out to make a change. Libraries are usually
for one to stay quiet and read at, but this librarian is set out to make it more than that. She wants
to create group discussions on popular books, something coffee shops dont have.
