--------------------------------------------Exercise 4
Using your own words summarise the
main things a passenger must do from
his arrival at the airport to the plane
take off.
CORREZIONE:
The first place you go to when you arrive at the airport is the terminal building, which is the
largest building at an airport. All passengers must pass through a terminal when boarding or
leaving an aeroplane.
When you arrive at the terminal, you must check-in at the airline check-in counter.
There, a ticket agent asks if you want an aisle or window seat and asks if you want to sit in the
smoking or non-smoking section.
She or he then gives you your boarding pass, which tells you the location of the seat on the
aeroplane.
The agent then attaches an identification tag to your baggage.
This tag matches some of the information on your boarding pass. Employees of the airline then
store your baggage in a special compartment on the aeroplane.
While you are waiting to board your flight, you can sit in the passengers lounge and watch
aeroplanes take-of and land.
You need to check the departure board to see what gate you have to go to.
After you board the aeroplane, a flight attendant checks your boarding pass to make sure
you are sitting in your assigned seat. Don't forget to fasten your seatbelt.
Now you are ready. Enjoy your trip!
