Physiological correlates of Sex Drive among Female College Students
Sex Drive plays a big role in sexual activity. It is comprise in the word Sexual
activity and Sexual activity is one of the humans sources of pleasure that base on ones
sex drive. It is better to have high sex drive because its satisfies more the individuals
pleasure. Sex can make people better off , it can make people happy , unstress and more
confident in their romantic activities. The aim of the sexual drive is pleasure.
Sex Drive
Sex Drive is define as the energy or desire of people in sex activity. Sigmund
Freud, a psychoanalysist termed it as a libido, it is the the energy, regarded as a
quantitative magnitude of those instincts which have to do with all that may be comprised
under the word love. Moreover, it is the instinct energy or force, contained in what
Freud called the id, the strictly unconscious structure of the psyche. , but this pleasure is
not limited to genital satisfaction. Freud believed that the entire body is invested with
libido. Besides the genitals,the mouth and anus are especially capable of producing
sexual pleasure and arecalled erogenous zones. The ultimate aim of the sexual drive
(reduction of sexual tension) cannot be changed, but the path by which the aim is reached
can be varied. It can take either an active or a passive form, or it can be temporarily or
permanently inhibited (Freud, 1915/1957a)
Similary, Carl Jung identified it as psychic energy. Duality creates the energy of
the psyche, which Jung asserts expresses itself only through symbols: It is the energy that
manifests itself in the life process and is perceived subjectively as striving and desire.
Defined more narrowly, libido also refers to an individual's urge to engage in sexual
activity.

The big roles of sex drive makes this study more interesting, It help to classify the
level of ones sex drive.Whether it is High or Low. Plus, to learn on how to manage or
control it. Many arguments show on how to clasify ones sex drive. One of this, is the
Physiological aspect.
Weight
According to a recent study conducted by Binks(2015) and his colleagues at
Duke, up to 30% of obese people seeking help controlling their weight indicate problems
with sex drive, desire, performance, or all three. Often, the latest research shows, these
problems can be traced to physical conditions that co-exist with obesity.
Kellogg(2015) theorize that women's sex drive and desire are affected by weight
beacuse the more body fat you have, the higher your levels of a natural chemical known
as SHBG (short for sex hormone binding globulin). Similary, Doctors theorize that the
more testosterone that is bound to SHBG, the less there is available to stimulate desire.
Hairiness
Experts says that hairiness of human is associated with sex drive, because of ones
testosterone level, And in more detail, dihydrotestosterone (DHT) which is even more
stronger androgen than testosterone is, and is made when this enzyme called 5-reductase
converts testosterone into its more potent form (DHT). Thus, person with high
testosterone usually have high DHT levels, and therefore increased growth of facial and
body hair.

Another one, is the Size of the middle finger, Some scientist before revealed that
size of index finger is actually associated with mens sex drive. With women however, it
is a relatively long middle finger (more prenatal exposure to the female hormone
oestrogen) which reflects fertility.
In women, middle finger ratios, i.e. relatively long middle fingers, seem to
indicate higher sex drives (and women with higher ratios are reported as having more
sexual partners and tending to more promiscuity than those with lower ratios
However in all of this arguments, related literature are really weak. In addition
most of it recommends more correlational research if these variables are really
associated to one sex drive. That its why this research will support, proove and present
more wide explanations and evidences about it. It will give answers if there some
relationship between ones sex drive and Physilogical among women.
Size of Breast
Many disquisition show, if the size of womens breast affect their
sex drive. Even though its very complex subject and until now, not
enough research done for a conclusion. However, Some experts says
that Bigger breasts are caused by the hormone prolactin which
supresses sex drive so maybe. But women with bigger breasts may
also have more energy. (fat) Women with smaller breasts amy want it
more due to insecurity about being small.

Thus, the present study intends to study the physiological correlates among
womens sex drive. To be exact, this study aims the following: (a)To know the link of
Hairiness to ones Sex Drive (b) To establish the Relationship between Size of Middle
Finger and Sex Drive (c) To establish the relation weight and Sex Drive (d) To
Associates the breast size of women to their sex drive. To end this I hypothesize that,
there are a positive and strong correlation between all of this physiological among sex
drive of women.

Method
Participants
This correlational study used sample of 40 participants from the population of
college students . The inclusion criteria for participation in the study are: (1) women (2)
being over 16 years of age, (3) willingness to participate voluntarily in the study after
knowing its objectives. This sample included all the participants who completed
successfully all the instruments. They aged 17-19 years old. Almost Seventy percent of
the participants were 18 years old, while the remaining, belong to ages 17 (20 percent),
19 (10 percent), 16 (5 percent) and 20 (5 percent)
Instrument and Materials
The questionnaire for Sex Drive is originated from the The Multidimensional
Sexuality Questionnaire (MSQ) by WilliamE. Snell, Jr., SE Missouri State University,
Terri D. Fisher, The Ohio State University at Mansfield and Andrew S. Walters,
University of Georgia it consist 19 scale questions. It can rate in a scale 1-5, 1 being the
highest and 5 being the lowest . While, In Physiological aspect I used different materials
to get it . In hairiness,this study used chart and this it contains 10 visual scale, in which ,
10 being the highest and 1 being the lowest. I just Asked their weight, Ruler (in inch) to
get the size of their middle finger , and size of brasierre for their breast size.Inter rater
and Test-retest were used in terms of the realiablity of research.
Procedure
A short presentation of the study, listing the objectives and purposes, gave
together with the participation request. The anonymity of the participants was always

ensured. All the individuals that participated in this study gave their inform consent. They
are give 2-4 minutes to read and comprehend this letter, then the researcher started to
gather their data.
At first, respondents classified their hairiness in a chart which contained 10 visual
scale, 10 being the highest and 1 being the lowest. Plus, weight of the respondents got
also. As well as their size of middle finger used ruler( in inch). While, to know their
breast size, respondents must answered it to know their size of breast.
To know their sexual desire or their sex drive, The Multidimensional Sexuality
Questionnaire (MSQ) was used for that. It is consisted 19 item scale that can rate in a
scale 1-5, 1 being the highest and 5 being the lowest . In terms of scoring, scores in every
item got the sum. Possible score range from 0 to 95. Participants were gave at least 5-8
minutes to answer this scale.
Data Analysis
After the data gathering,data were encoded using Microsft Excel and SPSS
wersion . To establish the correlation between the Physiological attributes to Sex Drive.
Also if there are siginificant telationship among variables, Pearson Correlation were
calculated. Graph and means also calcultated for age and level of sex drive.

Results
This chapter discusses the finding from the survey conducted Female College
Student. It presents the realationship Physiological to Sex Drive of Female.

This table shows that the mean of the age of respondents are almost 18 years
old, 17. 820 to be exact. Moreover, the median are 18 as well as the mode.

In looking at the frequency of age 24 reported that they are 18 years old , 6
respondents are 17 years old while 2 reported that they are 19 years of age and 1
respondent was 20 years old . The total respondents are 40 female college students.

In performing correlations, with N= 40, analysis found that Middle
correlated with Sex Drive of Women with a .225

correlation. And no significant

correlation at all.It can assumed that Size of Middle finger did not affect their Sex Drive.

In terms of the correlation between Breast size of women and their sex
drive comapare to the former one, It shows more relationship with .314
correlation. And it have a significant realtionship (p= 0.05). This suggest that
the bigger the size of breast, the higher the sex drive but if the size of breast of
female are small the level of sex drive are in the low level.

This table shows a strong correlation between Level of Hairiness and Sex Drive of
women. The correlation between these two varaibles are .870 with p<.001. In addition, it
implies that the more the female is hairy the higher the sex drive than who are not.

However, In performing correlations, N=40 analysis found a correlation
of -.408 between Sex Drive and Weight and correlation is significant at the
0.01level (2 tailed). It suggest that if the said person is thinner then the rate of
sex drive is higher but if its the other way around then the sex drive of that
person is in a lower level.

Discussion
Sex Drive has been of great demands in researches nowadays due to its
influeneces on Sexual activity. This study was made to investigate on how to classify the
level of sex drive of female by using the Physiological attributes. Pedagogical

implications and literature were discussed in this section to support the findings of the
study.
Sex Drive and Size of Middle Finger
In looking in the correlation between Sex Drive and Size of MiddleFinger this
study found that theres a weak relationship between these two variables. This study is
have a contradiction in the previous research on which they stated that women with
middle finger ratios, i.e. relatively long middle fingers, seem to indicate higher sex drives
(and women with higher ratios are reported as having more sexual partners and tending to
more promiscuity than those with lower ratios
Sex Drive and Size of Breast
In terms of breast size of women and their sex drive, In this
study I found that there more relationship between their size of breast
and sex drive than to the relationship of middle finger and sex drive
and it has a significant relationship. Define it more narrowly this study
proof the disquistions about if the size of womens breast affect their
sex drive. Some experts says that Bigger breasts are caused by the

Sex Drive and Level of Hairiness

This study found that Hairiness may correlate to sex drive, because it have a
significant and strong correlation. In addition, Women who are hairy are have high sex
drive than to other women who are not. Like Some experts says that hairiness of human
is associated with sex drive, beacuse of ones testerone level, And in more detail,

Weight affects the Sex Drive of women. Define it more narrowly, The thinner the women
are, the high their sex drive. Otherwise, the women who are fat experience more problem
to their sex drive, also in their sexual feelings, tendencies or desires.
The result of this study was performed SPSS Statistics. Basic descriptive
statistics used for graph and mean of the variables like mean of age included the
graph,mean of sex drive and physiological variables . Also correlational for physiological
aspects and for their sex drive.
These results should be interpreted with caution as there are some
limitations to the study (e.g., sample are only female and from a college population,
correlational design, and many measures used were created for the current study, Almost

the respondents of this study are 18 years old. ) Expansion on this study that would be
very interesting includes exploring the gender differences and religious affiliations of
participants. The effects of both criteria appeared to greatly impact the results of this
study. In controlling these variables as well as further investigating them, more
understanding and acceptance of sexual drive . This is the primary intention of this
preliminary study.

This correlation study entitled Physiological correlates among Sex Drive of
Women in which the aims are (a)To know the link of Hairiness to ones Sex Drive (b) To
establish the Relationship between Size of Middle Finger and Sex Drive (c) To establish
the relation weight and Sex Drive (d) To Associates the breast size of women to their sex

Conclusion
This study conclude that:

1. There are significant relationship between the breast size of women to their
Sex Drive.It suggest that the bigger the breast the higher the sex drive on the
other hand the smaller the breast the lower the sex drive.

2. There have a weak relationship between Size of Middle finger and Sex Drive
of women.

3. Level of Hairiness predict the Sex Drive of women. It also found that hairy
women have high sex drive than to other women who are not hairy .
4. This study found that if the said woman is thinner then the rate of sex drive is
higher but if its the other way around then the sex drive of that woman is in a
lower level.
Recommendation
This study entitled: Physiological Correlates in Sex Drive among Female College
students highly recommended to the following:
May the future researcher conduct more study about physiological correlates in
sex drives of male and female. Also their comaparison and future research in this area
should seek to better clarify the nature of the relationship between these varaible using a
more diverse sample (in gender and age), studying the women attitude, and examining
these variables in more detail and within the context of a longitudinal or experimental

research design to establish directionality or causality to the relationship between these
