A Brief About Us
Mrs. Mourya Boda has taken up the reigns of Chairperson & Managing Director of the
Company in 2005. She holds a bachelor degree in law and also masters in business
management. She was the Chairperson for Young FICCI Ladies Organization, Hyderabad
Chapter (a Division of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, FICCI)
during the year 2012-2013. At present, our Board of Directors are :

Infrastructure
We are backed with state-of-the-art-facilities wherein we produce diverse viral and bacterial

vaccines. The initial batches of vaccines are well tested and certified by Indian Veterinary
Research Institute (IVRI). Moreover, our manufacturing facility is accredited with WHOGMP and ISO 9001-2008 certifications as well as Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
certificate. Our R&D wing is certified by the nodal agency for certification of all the
industrial R&D facilities in India viz., Department of Science & Industrial Research (DSIR),
Government of India since 2011.
Quality Assurance
We also have full fledged in-house Quality Control laboratories wherein our vaccines are
tested and certified for their safety, sterility and potency in accordance to diverse
Pharmacopeial standards of national and international repute. Our QC department has wellequipped instrumentation lab that monitors the critical systems such as clean rooms, water
systems, personnel flow, material flow and utilities to ensure their compliance with required
specifications.
Our QC & Analytical lab conducts different analytical tests at all stages from raw
materials to finished products. We achieve the objective of Quality Assurance by following
Good Manufacturing Practices as per National and International Rules and Regulations.
Moreover, our QC team offers ICH stability storage conditions protocol design, real time and
accelerated stability testing to meet the regulatory requirements.

Chemical Analysis Laboratory

Instrumentation Laboratory consists of analytical equipment like Auto Titrator, UVVis Spectrophotometer, HPLC, Flame photometer, Karl Fisher Titrator, etc.

Microbiology Laboratory is provided with Autoclave room, media preparation and

incubators room, sterility Testing room with a Laminar Air flow work station, separate
area for LAL test and Microbiological assays.

Brilliant Bio Pharma Private Limited (BBPL) is engaged in manufacture of Veterinary
Biologicals and Medicines. The Company is the second largest manufacturer of FMD vaccine
in the country with strong presence in domestic and international markets. Presently, rabies
veterinary vaccine, haemorrhagic septicaemia (HS) vaccine, blackquarter (BQ) vaccine,
combined HS+BQ vaccine and enterotoxaemia vaccine in addition to FMD vaccine are
manufactured and marketed throughout the world.
The Company has state-of-the-art facilities to produce various viral and bacterial
vaccines. The Company is ISO 9001-2008 certified and is accredited with GMP, WHO-GMP
and GLP certifications. The R&D wing is certified by the Department of Scientific &
Industrial Research (DSIR), Government of India.
In addition to the vaccines, the Company product portfolio includes Animal Health
Products (AHPs) such as Antibiotics and Antibacterials, Analgesics and Antipyretics,
Dewormers, Ecto and Endo Parasiticides, Feed Supplements, Galactogogues etc and, has the
capability to formulate any AHP to suit the livestock needs of a given country. The products
are registered and exported to various countries in Asia Pacific region, Gulf, Middle East, Far
East, CIS, Africa, Latin America.
BBPL is one of the registered suppliers of Veterinary Vaccines and Medicines to Food &
Agriculture Organization (FAO), Rome, Italy and has exported to DPRK (North Korea),
Bangladesh, Chad and Yemen as per FAO orders.

MANUFACTURING FACILITIES
Veterinary Biologicals

The manufacturing facility for biological vaccines is located in Hyderabad,India,

which is centrally located and has an international airport, hence Company has an
advantage to deliver vaccines quickly across India and abroad.

The state-of-the-art production facility is designed with a uni-flow movement of men

and materials. It has independent production blocks for viral and bacterial vaccines.
The virus handling block meets biosafety level-3 containment.

The facility has dedicated laboratories for quality control (QC) that include animal
experimentation blocks, for testing of raw materials and finished products according
to various Pharmacopoeial standards.

All the manufacturing facilities are certified for Good Manufacturing Practices
(GMP), WHO-GMP and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) issued from time to time
by the national regulatory authorities.

With an installed capacity of 100 Million doses per annum of trivalent FMD vaccine,
3.5 Million doses of Rabies veterinary vaccine and over 50 Million doses of various
bacterial vaccines targeting important diseases of livestock, BBPL is well equipped to
meet domestic and global requirements.

Animal Health Products

Besides Veterinary Biologicals, BBPL also has the state-of-the-art manufacturing

facilities for Liquid Injections, Dry Powder Injections and other dosage forms.

The Animal Health Products facility is also designed with a uni-flow movement of
men and materials with laboratories for quality control (QC) of raw materials and
finished products done according to various Pharmacopoeial standards.

All the manufacturing facilities are certified for GMP, WHO-GMP and GLP.

Our Products
Brilliant Bio Pharma Private Limited engages in the provision of a wide range of products
combining Veterinary Vaccines/Biologicals and Animal Health Products. Our recent and
prestigious addition to the vaccines range is FUTVAC (Foot-and-Mouth Disease Vaccine).
Incidentally, FUTVAC is the only brand of FMD vaccine which is tested and certified by the
nodal body, Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI).

Biological

The manufacturing facilities for biologically-based vaccines of Brilliant Bio Pharma

Private Limited (BBPPL) is situated in the industrial estate of Pashamylaram, in the
outskirts of Hyderabad city in India. The location is selected based on the availability
of basic infrastructure like water, power and good connectivity. Being centrally
located in the country and having an international airport within the reach of 50
minute-drive, the Company is enabled to respond to emergency calls on transport of
these temperature sensitive products in India and abroad. The vaccine production unit
is an eco-friendly facility conceptualized on zero discharge basis.

The state-of-the-art biological production facility is spread over nine buildings

designed individually with a uni-flow directional movement of men and materials as
required. The facility has independent production areas to produce viral vaccines and
bacterial vaccines. In the viral vaccines production area, there are segregated blocks to
handle media preparation, cell culture scale-up activities and virus culture scale-up
together with downstream processing. For biosafety reasons, the virus handling block
is kept under various containment procedures meeting the standards of biosafety
level-3.

The blending and vaccine filling activities are undertaken in a separate Formulations
Block dedicated towards all the inactivated vaccines. This segregation from the other
production areas shall ensure product integrity and to avoid cross contamination with
any of the in-process materials.

The manufacturing facility has state-of-the-art laboratories for in-house quality

control (QC) testing located in separate buildings that include animal testing blocks.
The QC laboratories serve the routine testing of not only the finished product but also
raw materials and packing materials as well as in-process materials according to
Pharmacopoeial requirements.

An independent quality assurance (QA) department is continually vigilant over the

production and QC activities overseeing the manufacturing and testing operations
before certifying the products fit for release into the market.

There are ancillary facilities that include warehouse for handling of raw materials,
finished goods and packing materials, administration and staff canteen, in order to

support the vaccine manufacturing activities. The production and QC activities are
well supported by DSIR accredited R&D facility within the premises.

All the manufacturing facilities are certified for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
both as per WHO guidelines and Schedule M of the Indian Drugs and Cosmetics Act,
1940 besides certification for Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).

State of the art technology having dedicated manufacturing facilities for Liquid
Injections and Dry powder Injections ensures the highest level of process integrity and
product quality.

The manufacturing areas are provided with different classified areas depend on the
activity as per schedule M and respective GMP standards.Liquid filling and Dry
Powder line has capacity to fill wide range of packs.

Future Developments
BBPL clearly understands the needs of animal health and productivity. The Company
is continuously striving for the best of it by swiftly adapting to the current trends in vaccine
production technologies. In this endeavour, the Company has technology tie ups with various
premier institutions engaged in Veterinary Vaccines research. The new products in pipeline
are vaccines against Pestes Des Petits Ruminants (PPR), Goat Pox and Bluetongue.
Furthermore, the Company also has plans to enhance the FMD vaccine production capacity
up to 300 Million doses per annum by expanding the manufacturing facilities.
