Analyzer Update

1 In this version
This release contains support for new and updated file formats. There are updates for most
technologies that Analyzer supports, with changes falling under the following categories:

New collections of devices and improvements:

o Added support for TEMS Investigation 18.0.2.
o Added support for NEMO FF 2.29.
o Added support for R&S 4.90.
o Added support for ASN.1 3GPP Rel. 13.

Application Layer Improvements:

o Added new Spotlight templates for voice and data separately
supporting multiple radio access technologies facilitating diagnostic
support of multi-technology log files and improving load speed.

Platform improvements:
o Added a new Call Flow Viewer visualization component for core trace
data.
o Fixed several issues in the Map.

Licensing Requirements:
o LTE-Advanced Pro is the next major milestone in the deployment of
mobile networks after LTE and LTE Advanced. LTE-Advanced Pro
features are available starting with 3GPP Release 13 and require a
separate LTE-Advanced Pro license.
o The Analyzer Product roadmap includes significant new capabilities
for cross domain analysis of core network and field measurement
data, including end-to-end call flow analysis for VOLTE and future IPbased services. These new capabilities require a separate license.

2 New collection device or technology support

2.1 Accuver XCAL support

Resolved an issue that stopped Analyzer loading certain XCAL files.

2.2 Ascom TEMS support

Added support for TEMS Investigation 18.0.2.

Resolved an issue that caused Analyzer to show discrepancies between AU1509 GA and
AU1604 GA when comparing ScanSigLevel.

Resolved an issue that stopped Analyzer decoding RRC messages for the Samsung chipset.

Resolved LTE and WCDMA UL and DL Physical throughput issues.

2.3 Azenqos support

Improved VoLTE support.

2.4 Huawei Probe support

Resolved an issue that prevented Analyzer decoding RSRP and RSRQ scanner values.

Resolved an issue that prevented Analyzer decoding HTTP download tasks.

2.5 Nemo Support

Added support for Nemo FF 2.29.

Resolved an issue that caused Analyzer to load unrelated side files.

2.6 Rohde & Schwarz support

Added support for R&S 4.90.

Resolved an issue that caused Analyzer to crash when loading certain R&S 4.89 log files.

2.7 Qualcomm

Added support for Qualcomm MSM 9x55.

Resolved an issue that prevented Analyzer decoding some Qualcomm messages.

3 Application layer improvements

3.1 Spotlight

Added separate Spotlight templates for Voice and Data, supporting multiple radio access
technologies facilitating diagnostic support of multi-technology log files, and improving
load speed.

Added a template for Data-supporting technologies such as Wi-Fi,

LTE, UMTS, and GSM. It enables users to visualise KPIs and
diagnostics across the technologies in a single project.

Added a template for Voice-supporting technologies such as Wi-Fi,

LTE, UMTS, and GSM. Users can navigate around multiple
technologies to analyse KPIs and diagnostics. A report is also added
to show high-level voice KPIs regardless of radio access
technologies.

4 Platform improvements
4.1 Call Flow Viewer

Added a new Call Flow Viewer visualization component for core trace data. It works on a
stream-level, and can be opened from the Ribbon and the context menu of the applicable
streams. The Viewers diagram shows Source Node type and Target Node Type of the
messages. The Viewer can also synchronize with the other visualization components.

4.2 Map

Corrected a problem where China Aerial map has an obvious offset.

Resolved an issue that caused the Map to plot data points incorrectly in certain indoor
scenarios.
