scriptures provide scores of qualitative and

quantitative techniques to decipher life
expectancy. On the other hand, many
modern authorities and researchers have
been developed their own findings for
estimating length of destined life.
This article presents a new longevity
finding criterion based on Bhrigu Chakra
Paddhati (BCP). Scribe is sure that his
technique will prove a new addition in this
forecasting area. Experimenting given
rules on dozens of horoscopes yields a
significant success level, provided age

group of native (short, middle, or long) is addressed first.

In first part of this article, two longevity related rules were mentioned and illustrated. Now
scribe reveals some more subtle rules for knowing year of death. Readers should be aware of
the fact that BCP depends upon 12-year cycle. Hence one should first determine the
probable age slab (i.e. short life, middle life or long life). This can be done through any
standard Jyotish School, including Praveen Jagad, Laghu Thajaki, Satyacharya, Parashara or
Jaimini teachings.
Besides role of Saturn and Moon, the given rules also rely upon Maraka and Badhaka
concepts. As per Parasharas teachings, 7th and 2nd houses are Maraka-Sthana (deathinflicting houses) and their lords are called Maraka (killer planets). Natural benefic planets
(especially Jupiter and Venus) whenever become lord of 7th and/or 2nd house, behave
intense Maraka (killer) in their dashas. Natural malefic planets (Saturn, Mars, Sun, Rahu,
Ketu) simultaneously assume role of Maraka, whenever occupy 7th and/or 2nd house.
Badhaka is another notion of trouble-maker planets in Jyotish. For all moveable sign
ascendants (Ari, Can, Lib, Cap), the 11th house stands for Badhaka-Sthana and its lord is
called Badhakesha or Badhaka Planet. For all fixed sign ascendants (Tau, Leo, Sco, Aqu),
the 9th house assumes role of Badhaka-Sthana. For all dual sign ascendants (Gem, Vir, Sag,
Pis), the 7th house turns Badhaka-Sthana.

BCP Rules for Finding Longevity

Rule 3:

If ascendant is vacant, and 8th house is aspected by natural malefic planets

(Saturn, Mars, Sun, Rahu, Ketu) then death may take place in BCP year of house occupied
by mentioned malefic planets, or their aspected house BCP year.
Example: Rajneesh Osho
Rule 4:

If ascendant is occupied by natural or functional malefic planets, then native

may pass away in BCP year of house occupied by Moon, or 8th from Moon.
Example: Indira Gandhi, Dr. Rajendra Prasad
Rule 5:

If ascendant is aspected by Badhaka or Maraka planets, then death may happen

in BCP year of 2nd or 7th house from natal ascendant, or 12th from Moon.
Example: B.V. Raman
Rule 6:

If 8th house is occupied by natural malefic planets (Saturn, Mars, Sun, Rahu,

Ketu) then native may breathe his last in BCP year of house that is aspected by said malefic
planets.
Example: Yogananda

Rule 7:

If 12th house be occupied by natural malefic planets (Saturn, Mars, Sun, Rahu,

Ketu), then death may take place in BCP year of house occupied by said malefics or their
aspected house BCP year, or on natal ascendant.
Example: Marilyn Monroe, Marri Chenna Reddy [Former Chief Minister of A.P. State,
India]
Rule 8:

If 2nd and 7th houses are occupied by natural malefic planets (Saturn, Mars,

Sun, Rahu, Ketu), then death may take place in BCP year of their occupied house, or their
aspected house.
Example: Ramana Maharshi
Rule 9:

If ascendant is aspected by his Badhaka lord, then death may occur in BCP year

of house occupied by Badhaka planet.

Example: Albert Einstein
Rule 10:

If Badhaka is sitting in his own house then native dies in BCP year of house

occupied by Saturn or 8th from the Moon.

Special Rule 1:

If Rahu is placed in 8th house, and longevity falls in long age-group then

death may take place in BCP Cycle Ruler of Rahu or Kethu. (Here the Rahu acts akin to
Saturn and bestows long span of life like Saturn).
Example: Bertrand Russel [98 years], Swami Chandrasekhara [100 years]

Case 1 Marri Cheena Reddy

Here Rule No. 7 worked, as 12th house is occupied by malefic Saturn. Marri Chenna Reddy
died at the age of 78. As per BCP, age 78 falls in 6th house. In this chart, Aquarius is 6th
house which is directly aspected by Saturn (see Rule No. 7). Coincidently, the BCP Cycle
Ruler also is Saturn.

Case 2 Indira Gandhi

Here Rule No. 4 fits in, that says death in BCP year of Moon. She died at the age of 67. As
per BCP, age 67 is equal to 7th house from ascendant (see the BCP table). Now, her natal
Moon is placed in 7th house, and she died in BCP Moon year (Rule No.4). Similarly,
according to BCP Cycle Ruler, age 67 becomes 7th house from Jupiter (i.e. Scorpio). Notice
that Scorpio is also aspected by Mars from Maraka (2nd) house.

Case 3 Rajneesh [Osho]

There is no planet in Taurus while 8th house is occupied by 3 malefic planets (Saturn, Mars
and evil-associated Mercury). In this case, Rule No. 3 applied. Rajnesh Osho died at the age
of 59. According to BCP, age 59 is analogous to 11th house. In this chart, 11th house is Pisces,
which is aspected by Mars from 8th house of death. At the time of death (age 59), the BCP
Cycle Ruler Mars comes in his cycle on Virgo which is aspected by Saturn with 10th aspect.

Here another special set is 5 planets are posited in mystic 8th house. Assemblage of five
planets in 8th house made Rajnesh an unusual icon of religious world.

Case 4 Rajendra Prasad

Here Rule No. 4 worked well. Here Sagittarius ascendant is occupied by natural malefic
planet Mars, and functional malefic Mercury. Native passed away in BCP year of house
occupied by Moon [Taurus] at the age of 78, in 1962.

Case 5 B.V. Raman

Dr. B.V. Raman passed away on December 20, 1998. At the time of death, he was 86 years, 4
months and 12 days old. . According to BCP, it becomes age 87. Rule No. 5 is applied here.
Ascendant is aspected by Maraka planet Mars, therefore death took place on the BCP of 3rd
house which is the 12th of Moon. From BCP Cycle Ruler point-of-view, age 87 is equal to
3rd house from Rahu. Here 3rd from Rahu is Taurus where Moon as well as Saturn is
placed.

Case 6 Ramana Maharishi

This case agrees to Rule No. 8. Here 7th house occupied by natural malefic planet Saturn,
while Mars in placed in 8th house therefore death took place at the age of 71 in 1950, on the
BCP year of 11th house (Cancer) which is aspected by Mars.

Case 7 Paramhamsa Yogananda

Here Rule No. 6 yields its result. The 8th house is occupied by natural malefic Mars,
besides aspected by Saturn from 2nd (Maraka) house. Natives age at the time of death (in
1952) was 59. Demise of native occurred in BCP of Mars-aspected-house i.e. Gemini. Note
BCP Cycle Ruler is also Mars.

Case 8 Marilyn Monroe

Rule No. 7 is applied here. The 12th house is occupied by malefic Rahu, therefore she died in
BCP year of Rahu-occupied-house i.e. Gemini at the young age of 36, in 1962.

Case 9 Albert Einstein

Here Rule No. 9 is fulfilled. Ascendant Gemini is aspected by his Badhaka lord Jupiter with
5th aspect. Hence death took place on BCP of Badhaka lord Jupiter-occupied-house
Aquarius, at the age of 57, in 1936. From the BCP Cycle Ruler perspective, it is 9th from
natal Mars (i.e. Virgo). Notice Virgo is aspected by malefic Saturn, Rahu and Sun.

Case 10 Bertrand Russell

Rule No. 6 as well as Special Rule followed here. Despite, malefic occupations in 8th house,
Bertrand Russel enjoyed long lease of life. He died at the age of 98 in 1970. According to
BCP Cycle Ruler, age 98 falls in 2nd house from Ketu (here it is Sagittarius). Now, the
same Sagittarius is occupied by Saturn (R), and aspected by Mars. From BCP perspective,
age 98 becomes 2nd house from natal ascendant. Here 2nd house is Scorpio where Ketu is

posited. According to Rule No. 6, when the 8th house is occupied by malefic planets, then
death takes place on the BCP of their aspected house (Mars occupies in 8th house and
aspects Sagittarius).

Case 11 Chandrasekhara Saraswati

Here Rule No. 2 and Special Rule applied. Rahu occupies 8th, and longevity group falls into
long life. Swami Chandrasekhar passed away at the ripe old age of 99, in 1994. At the time
of his demise, BCP Cycle Ruler was Ketu, and the corresponding year lies in 3rd from Ketu
(Scorpio). Apart from it, Rule No. 2 says if ascendant is vacant, death occurs in BCP house
occupied by Moon. In this case, Moon is in Scorpio. Both are exactly same case.

Case 12 Benazir Bhutto

Here Sagittarius ascendant is vacant therefore death happened in the year of BCP on
Moons 8th house. She died in an assassination attack in December 2007, at the age of 54.
According to BCP, age 54 is equal to 6th house. Here 6th house falls into Taurus, that is, 8th
from natal Moon.

Case 13 Jiddu Krishnamurti

Jiddu Krishnamurthi died on February 16, 1986, at the age of 91. Here ascendant is vacant
therefore death occurred in the BCP year on Moons 8th house (Cancer). Here BCP cycle
ruler Rahus year also the 6th house from Rahu, and aspected by malefic Sat.

Case 14 V.K. Krishna Menon

Krishna Menon died on October 6, 1974 at the age of 78. Here ascendant is vacant. Hence
death took place in the year of BCP on Moons 5th house (Taurus).

Conclusion

hrigu Chakra Paddhati (BCP) is one of the simplest yet robust forecasting tools.
Experience shows BCP based longevity rules works well when applied judiciously.
Advocated rules have yielded satisfactory results to the scribes database sample.

Lastly, these rules are outcome of scribes rigorous and continuous research. They may have
some limitations and conditions. Readers are requested to test these rules on greater of sample
size so that a better longevity determination technique can be developed.
