Position Related:

As a Data Scientist expert you shall have the opportunity to bring end to end advanced
analytical solution into action ability. A thorough business + statistical + technical capability
shall be your unique selling proposition.

Goals
Advanced Analytical Maturity :
End to end model building in SAS /R and SQL with feature extraction, pre-processing of
data, training, scoring, and actionable insight extraction.
Building new insightful and innovative analytical data sets by consuming new data
capabilities (DPI, NEA etc.) through effective use case implementation
Feature extraction and insights through statistical measures/algorithms/graphs/info
graphics.
Establishing multi-domain Data Stitching frameworks and probabilistic models
(Mobile financials/credit scoring)
Extract Big Data Analytical Practical/ Actionable/ Real time Use cases using data
mining.
Slicing and dicing through Visual analytics tools & capabilities.
Improving user experience through Social media Analytics by analyzing real sentiments.
Aggressive tracking of results and utilization of leads.
Manage the Data Science Operational Framework

Your Typical day at work

Gathering business requirements for new data mining models and refine existing models to
improve their effectiveness
Design and development of internal data mining models and conduct scrutiny for vendor
develop data mining models
Coordinating with vendor and internal teams for timely delivery of projects
Identifying opportunities for new data mining statistical models
Developing business cases as and when required for data mining models to show returns
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to nontechnical people
Streamlining of the Operations for Data Mining for in time delivery of results.

Job Description

Eligibility Criteria

Education:

BCS/Preferably MS in computer sciences, applied statistics from a reputed

institution

Certifications
o

Big Data / Data Science Will be an advantage

Experience:

4+ years of work experience in an analytical role in using Data Science for driving
strategic actions across the organization.
Hands on experience on Data Mining tools (SAS Miner, TD warehouse Miner, R,
Python, Weka)

Potential Career Path:

Senior Data Scientist also leading to Principal Data Scientist and/or Senior BI Role
within CVMA & Global Business Units

Functional Skills / Knowledge Areas

Should have knowledge of tools that provide visibility and life to advanced statistical
concepts like Tableau, BO, LI Tools.
Should possess sufficient telecom business

Should have strong quantitative & analytical skills.

Have good communication & presentation skills
