ICC merchandise and handicrafts from Assavut. Visit info booths from Tikilluarit – Nuuk Tourism and
the Qasigiannguit Museum's Open Air Museum Project, or learn about Sorlak, the Greenland youth
organization.

The remarkable collection of water colour paintings by Jorn Mathiassen will be on display at Nunatta
Katersugaasivia Allagaateqarfialu, the National Museum of Greenland. These works were produced
during his travel through the Inuit homelands of Greenland, Canada and Alaska. Furthermore, his
Danish 8-part TV-documentary series, 30 minutes each, produced in 1980, will be screened. The
documentary shows the very beautiful and personal story of Jorn Mathiassen's journey. Discover his
impressions of the first Inuit-meeting in Barrow 30 years ago.

Katuaq
Until July 2nd, fifteen Inuit artists from Chukotka, Alaska, Canada and Greenland will exhibit their
recent works for all to enjoy.

Katersortarfik
Great movies from Chukotka, Alaska, Canada and Greenland will be presented at this film festival held
in the Nuuk community hall, Katersortarfik. The schedule will vary daily and provide a good
opportunity to see various feature films, documentaries and short films produced in the Arctic. The
short films will be screened continuously in the theatre café where students of INUILI and ATI,
Greenland’s food industry schools, will be offering their delicacies for purchase.

This is where youth is invited to gather, mingle and be entertained during the ICC General Assembly.
Students from Aasiaat will give a lecture on climate and present a game on climate. Their association
Qivioq will have an info-booth there as well.

Opening Concert
Musicians from Greenland and Alaska will open this week's fantastic concerts. Soloists Lars Pele
Berthelsen, Varna, Tupaarnaq and Lotte will collaborate with Nuutit to provide an orchestral
performance. The concert will continue with Alaska’s band Pamyua, with Karina Møller in lead.
Finally, you can step out and dance to the music from Greenlandic bands Qulleq and Qeqquaq!
Entertainment will include performances from NUIF breakdancers, Greenland Inuit Games, and the
one and only Inuit-circus in the World, Canada’s Artcirq of Igloolik. Maskdancing from Tasiilaq (East
Greenland), and drummer Robert 'Hivshu' Peary (North Greenland) will continue the amusement
followed by a late afternoon dance with NUIF’s Rockstones!

The National Library of Greenland's remarkable collection of archival material 'Groenlandica' will be

Arsiffik
This traditional Greenlandic sports-game will be given to the city of Nuuk. Naanngisat is played with a
person jumping from stone to stone 'one-legged' on stones placed in a row, either carrying nothing or
something, to make the game more difficult. Come and try for yourself! The Greenland Inuit Games
and Qajaq Association will provide the entertainment. The sculpturer of the Naanngisat is the local
artist Peter Kristiansen.

Organized by Greenland's Culinary Ambassador, Anne Sofie Hardenberg, this evening will be loaded
with entertainment and superb Greenlandic food.
Fashions by Canada’s Vickie Okpik of Nunavik Creations and Greenland’s Najannguaq Svaerd will be
showcased followed by music of Alaska’s Kuskokwim Fiddle Band, Canada’s Aqsarniit throatsingers,
Sylvia Cloutier and Akinisie Sivuarapik, and the Inuvialuit Drummers and Dancers, as well as
Chukotka’s Imlya Drummers and Dancers. Alaska’s Wainwright Drummers and Dancers. Greenland’s
premier musicians, Hanne & Leif and Rasmus Lyberth Band will close the evening.

An exchange of skills and shows of talent will include much laughter and entertainment when world-
famous throat-singers, Sylvia Cloutier and Akinisie Sivuarapik, maskdancer from East Greenland and
drummer Robert 'Hivshu' Peary as well as Artcirq get together with NAIP to share knowledge and fun.
Registered audience members will be welcomed to participate. The afternoon will end with folk music
performed by the Kuskokwim Fiddle Band.

Choir Concert
A wonderful evening of Greenlandic songs performed by various artists and choirs will fill the
beautiful white church in the centre of Nuuk. Performances include Greenlandic opera singers Ida
Heinrich (alto), and Josef L. Josefsen (tenor) and choirs NIPE, Aavaat, Erinarsoqatigiissuit and Qissiat.
Rasmus Lyberth will perform solo, and Tuppi Sandgreen will play the organ.

Arsaattarfeqarfik
This traditional Greenlandic sports game is revived, and together with Greenland's Sports Association,
a two-games match for adults and one-game match for youth has been arranged. Entertainment by
NAIP folk dancers, Kleemannikkut, Inuit Games, throat singers Sylvia Cloutier and Akinisie
Sivuarapik, Kuskokwim Fiddle Band, and the Inuvialuit Drummers and Dancers, Wainwright
Drummers and Dancers, and Imlya Drummers and Dancers will keep everyone moving.

Farewell Concert
A new musical composition titled The Aasui-aa Project, made especially for ICC's 11th General
Assembly, will be performed for the first time. Next, the crowd will dance to the beat of drummers and
dancers from each country, and last, the Greenlandic rapper John Olsen and two of Greenland's famous
rock-groups, Liima Inui and Sume, will perform.
Open to the public Thursday July 1 from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM. Doors will be open from 8:30 PM to
9:15 PM only. – Adults only (age limit 18 years).
Noorliit
Dedicated to the seal, this day’s arrangement is organized by NAPP, Nuuk Hunter's and Fishermen's
Association, and Greenland's Culinary Ambassador Anne Sofie Hardenberg to showcase the traditional
Inuit use of the seal to display that the seal is not only harvested for its skin: All body parts are used.
Hunters will compete to catch the first seal and when the seals are carved, cooking and grilling will
take place followed by meal service to the audience.
Much entertainment will occur including from our visitors of the Wainwright Drummers and Dancers,
Kuskokwim Fiddle Band, and Artcirq followed by the NAIP folk dancers, Pavia Geisler Band,
Kleemannikkut Band, Inuit Games, choirs NIPE, Aavaat and Erinarsoqatigiissuit, followed by the
Qajaq Association’s kayak show.

Closing Concert
The celebration of ICC's 30 years of Inuit co-operation will be closed with a great concert with
Pamyua, Rasmus Lyberth and Liima Inui, as well as the dance-show Tulugaq by choreographer
Pipaluk Kreutzmann Jorgensen.
