EXPERIENCE
Service Trip to Nikhob Guedj, Senegal
Summer 2016
As part of a team of LWHS students, we collaborated with local masons to build a school for the Nikhob Guedj
village. Using our technical arts skills, we prototyped and built a set of forty desks and tables for the elementary
classroom.
Senegal Xchange Independent Cohort Study
2016 - 2017
Part of planning committee for continued collaboration with Nikhob Guedj school. Organized fundraising, supply
drives and consulted on design for future projects such as a playground for next years service trip.
LWHS Public Purpose Program
2014-2016
Partnered with Rebuilding Together, SF-Marin Food bank, Hillcrest Academy, St. Anthony Foundation. Sorted food,
stocked shelves, prepared and served meals for the homeless, painted classrooms and a 4-square court, cleaned a
playground, built a picnic tables for the elementary school. Learned more about the people in my community, leading
to recognition of my own privilege and reflection about how to utilize the resources available to me to help others.
Bay Area Maker Faire
2014-2016
Organized, planned and manned the LWHS display at the Bay Area Maker Faire. Had multiple projects (Arduino
programmed lamp; Geodesic dome lounge chair; Full suspension all-terrain wagon; Japanese joinery box) selected
by faculty to represent schools Technical Arts Program at California Maker Faire
Teaching Assistant in Technical Arts at LWHS

Mentored students, taught tool safety and proper tool use in freshman Design & Technology class in the metal and
wood shops
Team Touchstone at Berkeley Ironworks

Member of youth climbing program training year round for bouldering competitions. Train to develop the technique,
