Whatprotocolsdoyouhavethatoutlinewhenaplayerwhohassuffereda
concussioncanresumeplayingonthefield?Isthereanumberofconcussionsthat
rulesaplayeroutfromplayingforgood?
Inordertoreturntocompetitionafteraheadinjury,theinjuredathleteisrequiredto
submitpaperworksignedbyaphysicianstatinghe/shecanreturntoplay.Untilthis
paperworkissubmitted,theathletecannotpracticeorcompete.Therearenotaset
numberofconcussionsthatautomaticallyrulesaplayerineligibletocompete.A
physicianwouldmakethatdetermination.
Whatelsewouldyoulikeourreaderstoknowabouthowyouhandlesports
injuries?
Allathleticinjuriesaremanagedwithcare.TheDistricthasmadeacommitmentto
increasethenumberofathletictrainingservicesprovidedtostudentathletes.

Whatprovisionsdoyoumakeforplayerswhodonthavehealthinsuranceand
cannotaffordmedicalattentionorphysicalexams?
Studentathletesmusthaveinsuranceandaphysicalinordertoparticipateinathleticsin
MilwaukeePublicSchools.Ifanathletedoesnothaveinsurance,he/sheisreferredto
insuranceplanswhichprovideacosteffectiveplan.Athletesinneedofaphysicalare
referredtoareaorganizationsthatprovidelowercostphysicals.
