TUESDAY JANUARY 8, 2002 7:00 PM The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by Supervisor Daniel J. Ruzick. The Pledge of Allegiance to the flag was given. Board Members Present: Bruce Cutting, Virg Hendrickson, Bonnie Osborne and Daniel J. Ruzick. Board Member Absent: Ronald Derhammer Also Present: 11 guests. Motion by Osborne, second by Hendrickson to approve the agenda as presented with the following change. Under New Business add Treasurer Resolution to add Kalamazoo County State Bank All voted in favor. Motion carried. Motion by Osborne, second by Cutting to approve the minutes of the December 11, 2001 meeting as presented. All voted in favor. Motion carried. Action on Planning Commission Recommendations: None. Pending Business: a. Motion by Hendrickson, second by Osborne to deny request from Mark Boven, in accordance with Linda Anderson, Township Planner, as stated in her letter of October 22, 2001 and supported by the Township Planning Commission, for rezoning to Medium Density Residential of property located at 30th Ave., Paw Paw, Mi. 49079. Property number is 80-02-008-015-02, tax plate number 125, section 8, currently zoned Agriculture/Low Density Residential. Roll call vote. Hendrickson-yes, Osborne-yes, Ruzick-no and Osborne-yes. Motion carried. New Business: a. Motion by Cutting, second by Osborne to accept the proposal from Linda Anderson, Wade-Trim as our Zoning Administration Assistance at a monthly rate of $800.00. Total contract $1500.00 Roll call vote: Hendrickson -yes, Osborne-yes, Ruzick-yes and Cutting-yes. Motion carried. b. Motion by Cutting, second by Hendrickson to adopt the resolution to add Kalamazoo County State Bank, Mattawan branch to our bank accounts requiring two signatures as the others. This will be used for the Emergency Medical Service account only. Roll call vote: Hendrickson-yes, Osborne-yes, Ruzick-yes and Cutting-yes. Motion carried. Building Activity Hendrickson, reports no report. Sunshine Branch Library Osborne, reports nothing at this time. February will bring new activity. Lawton Fire Department Cutting, reports the new Pierce Pumper, red in color, has arrived and it is beautiful. They will be adding some items should be ready in about two months. Looked at some Thermal Energy Hats running about $15,000 ea. Would like one in the future. Mattawan Fire Department Hendrickson, reports didnt attend but understands it was a short meeting. Cemeteries Hendrickson, reports four burials in the month of December.
