In line with the directive of MHRD for celebration of Azaadi 70 from 9 th to

23rd August, 2016 on the theme of "YaadkaroQurbani" following actions

have been planned:
1. Programme for celebrating Quit India Day:

2. Going to nearby villages/birth place of Freedom fighters:
Visit of students to local villages/birth place of freedom fighters and
explain how they fought for the freedom through the Outreach
Committee.
The Registrar is taking the necessary initiatives to identify villages
where freedom fighters lived.

3. Conduction of sporting events:

DoSA will arrange for sporting events through SAC GS sports such as
Freedom run etc. on 15th August, 2016 after the flag hoisting
ceremony.

SAC GS Sports have been asked to come up with a plan of one/two

more sporting events. Help from Athletic club may be sought after.
4. Literary programme for the entire fortnight (9th to 23rd August,
2016):

DoSA will organize through SAC GS Cultural different competitions

such as drawing, painting, essay writing etc. on the theme of life
and history of icons of freedom struggle. This would be done with
the help of clubs such as Literary Club, Arts Club etc.
5. Candle light freedom march (14th August, 2016):
DoSA will conduct a candle light freedom march on 14 th August,
2016, 7.00 PM from the entrance of the hostel area to Lecture Hall
Complex. Candle light formation of a particular theme may be
number 70 can be made.
6. The Registrar will take the initiative to identify 1947 born persons for
inviting them to be present on Independence Day Run.
