Adventure/Mystery: Open Season:

Setting
Placed in the 20th century in America, which is shown through the use of them
talking in the present tense when referencing previous years. The setting also
appears to be based in small country town, that isnt very built up, due to the
description the main character gives us.

Characterisation
A western type voice is used in the production, and the voice indicates the
people may be in there 30s or 40s due the voices they have. From the storyline
we can tell that the characters are officers, as he describes the daily events that
occur in the town he lives in, and the particular deadly event he describes in the
story.

Speech and words

There is a narrator speaking to the audience at the start of the video drama,
where he goes over his life looking in the past. Throughout the actual radio
drama, the main character appears to narrate over several different bits, as it
comes across that he is telling the story for the audience. The main conversation
between the two characters tends to show that they have been friends for a
while, due to the informal language used, which shows they are used to each
other. The fact the narrator begins to describe a story, can make the actual radio
drama easier to follow, as it tells a story through his actual memories.

Music
A constant sound track is placed in the radio drama at the begging on the
drama, where the main character is narrating over the drama. However, when
the story begins to unfold the main audio heard is the actual dialogue and the
sound effects that have been added in. This technique has meant that certain
things have been exaggerated to make it seem more realistic throughout.

Silence
There are a few short pauses when the drama begins to reach a higher point,
where it tries to emphasise what is actually happening. There are also constant
silences when the scene is changing or a different character begins to talk, to
show a significant change in what is actually happening in the radio drama.

all of them tend to be male

Speech and words

A narrator speaks directly to the camera, where he tells a story of events that
have happened.

Music
Music is used in the introduction to introduce the radio, and slowly fades out
when the speech comes in.

Silence
There can be pauses, when a different character or a setting change happens,
which shows a clear change for the audience.
