And it came to pass in process of

time, that the king of Egypt died:
and the children of Israel sighed
by reason of the bondage, and they
cried, and their cry came up unto
God by reason of the bondage. And
God heard their groaning, and God
remembered his covenant with
Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.
And God looked upon the children
of Israel, and God had respect unto
them. Exodus 2:23-25

he parallels between
ancient Egypt and
Americas present crisis
are uncanny. However,
there is an important
warning concealed in the
message of Moses clash with Pharaoh
that serves as an urgent message
to a backslidden American nation.
Israels exodus from Egypt unfolded
at a precise, preset time according to
a promise to Abraham (Gen. 15:13),
and that was after 400 years. When
Israel became oppressed and the people
cried out to the Lord, we read where
God remembered His covenant with
Israel and moved to break the chains

of slavery and return the people to the

Promised Land.
The Biblical covenants were
agreements between God and an
individual man (such as Abraham) or
Israel as a nation. The Hebrew word
for covenant is berith and is used 280
times in the Old Testament. The word is
frequently the object of the verb karath,
meaning, to divide or to cut in two.
This is why Hebrew teachers often speak
of cutting a covenant. This also refers
to cutting of animal sacrifices (Gen.
15:17-18).
Tribal nations, such as Africa, have
understood blood covenants and used
this method to establish a brotherhood
between tribes. When Henry Morton
Stanley searched the dark continent

of Africa for Dr. David Livingstone,

he made over fifty covenant pacts
beginning in 1871, each time being
marked with a cut in his arm.
The Word of God is clear in both
Testaments: breaking a God-established
covenant can cause disaster. In history,
God fought against those who fought
against His covenant. When God
remembers His covenant, two things
can transpire: He releases His mercy,
which is His compassion, kindness, and
pity in the midst of trouble (as He did
with Israel in Egypt) or He releases His
judgment, which is the reaction to a
guilty verdict God decrees when evil has
become full (which He did against the
Egyptians).
God was very strict upon the Jewish

people, more so than any other nation.

This is because Israel was the only
ancient nation formed by a covenant
with God Himself. Jerusalem is the only
city marked by the name of God Himself
(Deut. 12:5, 11, 21), and the Jewish
people were to be marked in their flesh
with a mark of circumcision, which was
considered the mark of the covenant
between God and the people (Gen.
17:1-12). The Jewish people were given
the Torah and the Commandments of
God that no other nation was blessed
to receive. The covenant was Gods
method of maintaining purity among
the Hebrew nation to bring forth the
Messiah through the linage of a Jewish
virgin named Mary. Thus Israels destiny
was sealed in bloodthe blood of

circumcision, the blood of animals, and

the blood of Christ. Moses wrote:
For what great nation is there that
has God so near to it, as the LORD our
God is to us, for whatever reason we
may call upon Him? And what great
nation is there that has such statutes and
righteous judgments as are in all this law
which I set before you this day? Deut.
4:7-8
When God remembered His
covenant in Egypt, He struck the ten idol
gods of Egypt with ten major plagues,
initiating a direct assault on the ability
of idols to defend their followers. The
eleventh plague was when the Egyptian
army sunk like lead in the waters of the
Red Sea. God put a division (separation)
between the Egyptians and Israel (Exod.

11:7). America has, in general, forsaken

not just God and the Bible, but any form
of righteousness and clarity regarding
what is good and bad, right and wrong.
Steady disobedience can open a door to
judgment. The Hebrew word judgment
is mishpat, meaning a favorable or
unfavorable verdict after evidence is
weighed in a court.
In the New Testament there are
several different meanings of the word
judgment:

America Dealing with Israel

a rose (Isa. 35:1). Today the American
administration has both publicly and
behind-the-scenes attempted to strong
arm the Israeli government into giving
up land that was originally promised to
Abraham and his descendantsIsaac,
Jacob, and the twelve tribes. The prophet
Joel gave a warning and rebuked
those who would sell out the Jews and
divide their land among the heathen
surrounding them. Joel warned that the
nations that did this would see their
own sons and daughters controlled and
owned by foreign nations (Joel 3).
We are seeing the early stages of
these warnings, as foreign nations
own much of the outrageous debt
that is being incurred by out-ofcontrol politicians who throw money
at anything and anybody, just to buy
themselves votes on Election Day.
We have witnessed in recent years
the hand of God moving in selective
judgment because of our treatment of
Israel. Years ago the U.S. government
pressured Israel into forcing Jews from
their homes in Gaza. The removal
began on the 9th of Av, the most negative
day on the Jewish calendarthe day
when both Temples were destroyed.

Jews stood on roofs of synagogues and

homes as they attempted to fight their
removal from their community. They
were loaded into buses and forced
to relocate. Even Jewish bodies were
removed from cemeteries and reburied
in other areas. Homes were bulldozed to
the ground, removing 25 housing areas
and 15,000 residents. The area, Gush
Katef, produced much of the food for
Israel, and Gaza was also a shipping port
area. Palestinians then came into the
area and looted, even tearing down the
greenhouses.
Now compare those events with
Hurricane Katrina. New Orleans was a
large port city, including a port where
food was shipped and received. Those
dwelling in the affected region were
forced from their homes, with many
standing on their roofs to be rescued.
Thousands were evacuated on buses,
and for the first time in modern history,
Americans were called refugees on
American soil. After the levies broke,
coffins were seen floating on the water
as the dead were suddenly buried
above ground in New Orleans, in
the same manner of Jewish burial in
Israel. Looters spread throughout New
Orleans, grabbing not just food and
material goods, but the homes of the
wealthy were broken into and ransacked
for valuables.
Now consider an incident with the
British government. The UK attempted
to pass a law to arrest and prosecute
Israeli officials for war crimes, including
the Israeli Foreign Minister, who would
not exit a plane for fear of being arrested
at Britains Heathrow airport. (This
law was implemented after pressure
by thousands of Palestinians living in
England.) On April 19, 2012 a statement
was made by the U.S. administration
that they would no longer automatically
support Israel at the U.N. The next
day, an oil rig exploded in the Gulf

When men attempt to change
the border of Gods covenant land
and covenant people, then the hedge
of protection can be lifted from the
nation, and destructive natural disasters
suddenly sweep across the land. The fact
is that, throughout history, Gods people
seldom repent until a disaster strikes.
The Lord has said:
And I will bring a sword upon
you, that shall avenge the quarrel of my
covenant: and when ye are gathered
together within your cities, I will send
the pestilence among you; and ye shall

be delivered into the hand of the enemy.

clue:
That ye be not slothful, but
followers of them who through faith
and patience inherit the promises. For
when God made promise to Abraham,
because he could swear by no greater, he
sware by himself, saying, Surely blessing
I will bless thee, and multiplying I will
multiply thee.
God takes seriously His promises
because He cannot lie. He will not
allow men to alter Gods promises, and
thereby attempt to make Gods Word a
lie by exalting their own words above
Gods. Israels land blessing and modern
prosperity is a sign of the existence of
God. We read:
And in very deed for this cause
have I raised thee up, for to show in
thee my power; and that my name may
be declared throughout all the earth.

I have taught that there are
different forms of judgment for
breaking commandments verses
breaking covenants. When Israel broke
commandments (such as not keeping
the Sabbath or Jubilee cycles), that is
when they were removed from their
land and foreign nations overtook them.
However, when blood covenants were
broken, the city of Jerusalem when into
total destruction and the Jews were

Fighting Gods Covenants

When leaders begin to fight against
God-ordained covenants, eventually
God will fight against them. Once the
decisions of covenant breakers becomes
public, then Gods favor is lifted and He
will begin to turn against the leaders and
those people who are following them. In
Biblical history, there is usually a small
remnant of true righteous believers
who will stand firm in the covenant and
fight against the covenant breakers to

defend the promises of Gods Word. The

prophets and apostles have warned us
of a time coming in which men will be
given over to reprobate minds:
And even as they did not like to
retain God in their knowledge, God gave
them over to a reprobate mind, to do
those things which are not convenient;
Who knowing the judgment of God,
that they which commit such things are
worthy of death, not only do the same,
but have pleasure in them that do them.

The Biblical marriage covenant
has been trampled underfoot by
liberal leaders, as the blessing that God
ordained between one man and one
woman, giving them the power to procreate, is being mocked and exchanged
for a new covenant, created by men
of sin who declare that people of the
same gender can seal a covenant in
marriage. This is the type of covenant
breaking that will bring a repeat upon
the U.S. of the same destruction that was

inflicted upon the cities of Sodom and

Gomorrah.

America was a nation founded upon
Christian principles by Christian men
who understood the power of Biblical
covenants. Since our original founding
documents were based upon the Torah,
Psalms, Isaiah and the Gospels, we are
blessed by God on a higher level of
blessing, but also judged by God on
a more intense level. We know more,
and therefore we are required to live
by and follow the knowledge we have
received. If we reject the covenant of
the ancestors, God will remember His
covenant and visit us in a manner we
will not enjoy.
