disidencia
According to Harvard academic H.D Clarke, our increasing
dependence on machines that selectively record and interpret the
world has led to a break down in our ability to know the world
and a weakening of our capacity for imagination. In Brazil and
around the world, satelliteless movements are springing up to
question the extent to which we need technology such as
satellites and to demand a say in the form they should take.

I believe in the power of the imagination to remake the world,
to release the truth within us, to hold back the night, to
transcend death, to charm motorways, to ingratiate ourselves
with birds, to enlist the confidences of madmen (...)
I believe in flight, in the
beauty of the wing, and in the beauty of everything that has
ever flown, in the stone thrown by a small child that carries
with it the wisdom of statesmen and midwives. (...)
I have seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships
on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in
the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those moments will be
lost in time...like tears in rain.

coltiviamo come fiamma accesa.
totalmente differente? Quale?Sicuramente molto pi che cavie della
tecnocrazia! Sognando e danzando: noi, senza satellite, marciamo

NURIA: What Im really interested in is that deeper thing, how it [the satellite] can be a metaphorical key to
understand things. Because they are, apart from being physical objects, they are imaginative objects as well,
in a way that a lot of other things arent. Just because they are invisible, but their effects are so visible.
And Im really interested in technology in general at a theoretical level, stuff to do with mimesis, Im trying
to think about how mimesis and satellites can work, but its kind of like, yea, I havent had any brilliant insights yet, ha ha I think Im too busy processing this information about what these things are and where they
are and how they go up and how much stuff they can carry and what they can do. But Id like to think
about these kind of, representational technology like cameras and stuff and mimesis is something that I find
really interesting. Im not sure whether satellites have a mimetic aspect, which would tie in with the ritual
thing as well.
JOANNA: What does it mean, mimetic?
NURIA: Theres an anthropologist called Michael Taussig whos Australian who writes about cameras... how primitive tribes use mimesis in their rituals. They pretend to be animals or they take on, they do mimetic rituals
that have got to do with magic or whatever, with the relationship with the world. Then Western technologies
got the camera. He theorises, its not a convincing theory but its evocative, I dont actually believe it, but I
find it really evocative, that [what] cameras kind of do... with technology that reproduces image or sound or
whatever, were doing what primitive tribes use to do through actual performative, mimesis. Its really evocative and Id like to think about satellites in relation to that kind of stuff, but its really, like I said, I havent
got any insight yet, but maybe through working these days something will, and maybe theres nothing there, its
just Im really interested in technology at that kind of abstract level.
Joanna: For me its useful to think about because of always having to be on the outside of the people who
are making the satellites and then to role play that [make pretend satellites]. It does bring you closer, but
also in your ability to think something through it helps.

Pedro: Also that question of the #MSST (Movimiento de los Sin Satelite) which is do we
really need a satellite? other people here are saying do we really need to launch a
satellite, I know for instance thats very much the position of Alejo. Theres a lot of
garbage up there, lets learn how to use whats already there. So I think its really
interesting this cross of points and the whole #MSST critique of technocracy, do we want
to be in there or ... by entering into that are you not entering into the same hypercapitalism or are you really re-enfocusing these tools? I think thats a really interesting
debate to maybe come up tomorrow. Shall we do that at 7 today? Lets make a
brainstorming a kind of more profundamental, strategic, more philosophical brainstorming.
Joanna: Ive been trying to make it clear what we are doing for communication between
ourselves so that we know what we're doing. So I just wanted to say what these
pictures are for. To make it really simple, what I'm thinking is to put them on the wall
in circles. So one circle is the group "quines somos?" another circle is "lo que
hicimos? The reason I got these pictures is because the picture doesn't really mean a
lot if you haven't been there. If I make a circle of these pictures on the wall, can
people annotate them. Its partly to remember but also to stop and think what are we
doing because I think that will help us to be more critical. And "lo que pensamos?".
So when we meet at 7 maybe we can write things so we know what was said, what
it is we think, because then its much easier to gather that information at the end of the
workshop, otherwise the words just disappear.
Software/Hardware

mkdir src
./bootstrap
./configure

sudo make install
gnuradio-core, gr-audio, gr-utils, gr-wxgui, gnuradio-examples.
tambin puedes buscar alguna informacin.
cd src
cd ..
8) bajar el cdigo:
cd gr-fcd
10) Compilar e instalar:
5) Entrar en el directrio:

IF YOU DECIDED TO BUILD THE YAGI ANTENNA FROM THE PREVIOUS PAGE THEN THE FOLLOWING LIST IS FOR YOU TO TRY IT OUT.
This list is coming from uhf-satcom.com some of it was compared locally using a radio receiver and UHF yagi
antenna. Since there are everyday more pirates on the satellites this kind of info stopped being publicly updated. The
frequencies on this list correspond then to just the known transponders on the military band.

Radio Magic
(rev.02)
A short paper addressing the idea of magic in relation to
media. Following the effects of resonant cords and
oscilating waves emanating from transmission lines, namely
the art of the aerials. All with the sole intention to consider
that what we could call 'magic' (if at all possible today
with so much science, rationalization, mediapostitivism) as
a way that could lead us into a sort of resistance?, aware
that this word raises nothing more than resistance by so
many that so often put it down as some sort of "naive"
antiglobalization adolescent attitude or say, yet another
brooklyn designer revolutionary adopting/adapting tiqqun's
texts as the new pose to be a la mode, fhasion or was it
faction? bahh!.. de que parte estamos? from what side can
we talk from? the transmitter, the reciver the jammer, a
man in the middle.. ok, let me get back.
Imagine a relay over sat done from countries that obey not
DoD/pentagon control. We don't need to launch more satellites,
leave aside that techno hype pose and think of ways on how
to reclaim the spectrum. Building a radio and antenna is
documented all around, is simple and fun while cheap.
Get ready for when your goverment decides to use the internet
kill switch!

(act.1)
In diesem Sinne will die
Diese Zombiekultur will

the story was not closed, other groups have emerged or splitted, a
multitude actually, and the story of the AAA goes on.
Its collective spectrality, caused by fleeting existence of a multitude of
unstable networks, authorized AAA to voluntarily divert too inquisitive
eyes of its only truth. And without any effort. The infinite multiplicity
of individualities that compose it made all the newness and the richness
of the AAA policy against archaic political organizations. All members
could disappear without seeing its existence undermined. Without any
real claim to implement a coherent social project, no regulative
discourse of aesthetic attitude, the AAA made the unanimity of its
members, while they never knew each other. Some met briefly, others
were friends, but most of them, more numerous, did not even know
they were autonomous astronauts. No radical political group had
worked this way before.
The pataphysics of the AAA has acted as a powerful scientific counterculture amongst its members. They might have wanted to reject science
and technology, but needed it for their astral travels, so these will
continue to rule the space flight, autonomous or not. Unlike a musical
work, an aerospace technology can't be sampled. It depends entirely
on a systematic and totalitarian scientific thought. The true
dictatorship of language is there in the monolithic edifice of scientific
discourse, whose autonomous astronauts drunk by debris per default
... or, for the more subtle, per game. This discourse of science is to be
abandoned. The Autonomous Astronautics could well be the first nonscience of a new generation of knowledge about reality.
Only a work of art or an aesthetical object can be dtourned, a
dtournement essentially lying in the freedom of the body that thinks
to inscribe new signifiers in space. Art lies in our freedom to create
new forms ex nihilo. This is the essence of true AAA discourse. This
is what has to be remembered. A spectral and ghostly network of
artists, that's what the AAA has been essentially, continuously looking
for autonomous projects. This is what AAA will always be. With the
AAA, as with the Situationist International forty years earlier,
The ultimate truth is that the AAA is as timeless as the Universe itself,
as it is the true aesthetico-political enbodiement of zero-gravity soul
liberation.
The AAA is an avatar, the Universal Process Network of Neverending
Freedom.

endender Freiheit.
