The Guide Inside

January 8- January 14

Father God,
Thank you for loving me and taking care of me. Bless my church, Pastor Ron and
his family. Bless my teachers for teaching me Your Word. I believe your love is
flowing through me to other people. Help me to obey my parents so things will go
well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. I will tell how great You are and
how much I love You. I thank You that by Jesus stripes I am healed in my body and
my soul.

In John 10:3-4, Jesus says that His sheep know His voice and He calls them
by name and leads them. In verse 5, He says that they will not follow the
voice of a stranger, but will run away from it because they do not know
or have a relationship with strangers. As believers God sometimes calls
us the sheep of His pasture and says that He is our shepherd. We sheep
have to learn the voice of our shepherd and follow Him where He leads.

In Jesus name, Amen

I am led by the Spirit of God.

Romans 8:14
I am a new creature in Christ, old things have passed away, all things
have been made new.
2 Corinthians 5:17

The best way to learn how to recognize a persons voice is to hear it over
and over again. The more we hear Gods voice the more we grow to trust
Him. Reading the Bible and learning the ways that God has done things
in the past helps us know what kind of things God is saying and doing
today. While we are waiting for an answer from God we must be careful
with the way we speak concerning the thing we are praying about.

I trust God to keep His promises because He is faithful.

Genesis 22:12

A child of God should not say, I am confused, or I dont know what Im

going to do. That is confessing confusion over your mind and your spirit
which will affect your attitudes. It is best to get into the Word of God.
After all, the Bible is the voice of the Lord. We should take time daily
to exercise our spiritman by speaking Gods Word over our lives. After
spending time reading the Bible and talking to God we will become better
at knowing what His voice sounds like and what it feels like in our spirit,
the deepest part of our being, when He is leading us.

It is not difficult to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit.

Samuel was a young boy the first time that he heard God speak to him. It
took Samuel a few times (and some help from his teacher, Eli) to realize
that it was God speaking to him. Sometimes children need to talk to their
parents or pastors to help them know when God is saying something to
them. Exercise your spiritman everyday by speaking the promises you
find in the Bible over your life. In this way you will know the voice of your
shepherd and follow Him only.

Romans 8:14, For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are
the sons of God.
