NARRATIVE REPORT FOR

THE MONTH OF JUNE
Im not a fan of science, well before I enter GRSHS. I realized that science
is very fun! I realized that science is not just about lecturing, listening to
teachers, doing assignment, and studying those. On our first meeting, we
played a game, it's more like a test but a different test. It's a group test. There
are 2 different groups, the boys and the girls are separated. I belong to the girl
group. The game was fun it was all about elements, solutions, and scientist. As
I've it was fun but sadly the boys won the game. The most exciting part of the
game was the punishment. Our punishment is to ramp in front of the class. I
was the first one to do it so i received a plus points from our teacher. On our
second meeting, our teacher let us observed some thing the first thing that we
observed is the sugar then the powdered juice, cooking oil and mongo seeds.
We mixed it all with water so that we can identify it will dissolve, what's its
appearance after mixing, if it could be separated, and if its a solution or not. I've

observed that the sugar and water is a solution, the color of the water has
changed, it has one phase and it couldn't be separated it has the same reaction
with the powdered juice. I was so curious if an oil can be separated after mixing
it with water so I mixed it with water and filtered it with a filter paper, the it can
be separated and I have observed that it is not a solution, its a suspension. I
can say that my first month at school was very fun and productive. I've learned
a lot of things. I've experienced a lot of things yet it is very fun.

What I've learned.

- I have learned many lessons in Science. It is about solute, solvent, solution, colloids,
suspension, tyndall effect, formulations, and many more.

What is the hardest topic.

- The hardest topic for me is about formulations. It is hard if you will not do it carefully
and
precisely. Because I believe in the saying that " There is no elevator to success;
you have to take the stairs". In connection to the topic, it is done step by step so I really
have to exert much effort to get the answer.

How I learned this topic.

-I learned this topic by listening to teacher Christy very well and by doing it carefully
and step by step.

Reflection.
During the first month I found a bit difficult becauseI know that I'm not really good
in Science. But though it's hard I tried my best to take the challenge and I successfully
completed the first month. I know I won't be able to do better than my classmates, but at

least I tried my best to compete with them but I know I won'tbe able to do better than
them but at least I've tried.
This July, I will do my best in Science.

Application o life.
I apply this to life by doing all the things and lessons that Ive learned. All the lessons
can help my family or friends by sharing to them all that I have learned.

NARRATIVE REPORT FOR

THE MONTH OF JUNE
Do you like Science? Well, honestly I don't like Science because it's hard. When
our class in Science started, our teacher, Teacher Christy Montesclaros talked
about the lessons that Teacher Cazz taught us. While I am listening to Teacher
Christy, I realized that Science is not hard than I thought. We have discussed
some lessons such as; Solution, solute, solvent, colloids, suspension, etc.
Teacher Christy taught us about the formula of % by volume or mass and "how
to get the % by mass" . Teacher Christy divided us in four groups, and we
picked our leader. Teacher Christy gave us a problem about the " percent (%)
by mass", and we aswered it with our group. We picked our leader and the
other member of our group to report our answer. They reported it correctly, so
that we got a perfect score. We're so happy because we got a perfect score.

Teacher Christy gave us a Pre- Assessment Test, so that she would be able to
know if we have learned about our lessons. I'm so happy because I realized
that Science is not a difficult subject and I learned a lot about our lessons. I
believed that my scores next month will improve. I thank God for giving me
wisdom, so that I can answer our quizzes.

NARRATIVE REPORT FOR

THE MONTH OF JUNE
Science is the most favorite subject of some students. Me, as a student, I
love Science because of its environmental explanations and experiments. First
week of school, we experienced and discovered lots of things! As a first year
high school student, I never expected things that will happen in Science time.
What I expected was just like my elementary years that we just talked with my
classmates. But in GRSHS, everything was different. But those are challenge
that will make every student to learn. Its a test to know if the students can
answer. First day of school, our teacher told us to do experiments. And at that
time, I was chosen by my group mates to be the leader. I was shocked because
its my first time to be a leader. I felt scared because I thought that the
experiment was hard. But when experiment time started, it was really easy. I

learned things being a leader. In our experiment, we need to put a table spoon
of sugar to a 20 ml of water. Next was the juice, and last, we put monggo seeds
in the water. Until last, we reported our observations of our experiment. And
finally, our first experiment ended. Next day, our teacher exchanged with
another teacher. First, she introduced herself and she immediately taught us
about the percentage by mass or volume. The formula was really hard but when
I analyze it, thats the time that I understood everything. I really learned lots of it.
Next day, our teacher didnt come in our room, and someone went to our room
and she gave us an activity. Thankfully, my group mates didnt choose me to be
their leader.

What I've learned.

1. From the month of June, I learned about the percentage of the mass or
volume.

What is the hardest topic.

2. The hardest topic was finding the percentage of mass or volume.

NARRATIVE REPORT IN SCIENCE

Science 7 in the month of June contains Mass and Volume percentage
and the Conversion of weights. We studied kinds of Solutions such as Dilute,
Saturated,

Supersaturated,

and

Unsaturated.

We performed

group

experiment in June 22, 2016. We made a solution of Table Salt and Water.
Then the solution becomes a Saturated Solution when the solute was added
more to the solution. After we made the experiment, we were told to report the
result of the solution. We reported our result in front of the class. The result was
based on our observation. During Science time, activities were performed such
as experiments, problem solving & reporting. Lessons are discussed by the
teachers while students listen. Science is fun but others take it as the second

hardest subject; first is Mathematics. But according to students who love
Science, it is easy when you study and understand it. As for myself, I love
Science but sometimes, I am having a hard time to understand it, such as its
complicated terminology, but still, I never quit. I study and eventually
comprehend the particular lesson that has been discussed. The month of June
was fast to end and we learned things despite the adjustments that we have to
keep up. Still, we learned and survived from those hardships and pressures we
felt. Science is fun but more fun when well-understood. I was expecting more
lessons to come and teacher Christy would teach us in a very easy and
understandable way that the students may answer the quizzes and exams.

NARRATIVE REPORT IN SCIENCE

Science is knowledge about or study of the natural world based on facts
learned through experiments and observation. Its a particular area of scientific
study such as biology, physics, or chemistry. Science is about a whole lot more
than that and to sum it up we believe that Science is a way of helping the brain
grow in finding new knowledge and helps us defeat our curiosity of how the
world develops and works today. Science is important because it has helped
from the world that we live today. In the month of July, we did some
experiments just like comparing the difference between substances and
mixtures based on how they melt and the difference between substances and
mixtures based on their boiling points. Our first experiment was about the
difference between substances and mixtures based on their boiling points. First
we did was to symbol the instruments or parts in our experiment. We felt
nervous that time because it was our first time to hold and to symbol scientific
things. But thankfully, we didnt destroyed things during the experiment. Some
of my classmates took some pictures of our experiment. During the experiment,
we observed the changes and we detailed it on a paper. Our teacher told us to
draw a graph about the changes of its temperature. And after the experiment,
we directly went back to our classroom. And that day feels so great because I
learned things. In the next day, we made our second experiment about the
difference between substances and mixtures based on how they melt. In this
experiment, we melted the benzoic acid with salt. Then we melted benzoic acid

(only). At last, we compared it.

What Ive learned.

-

Ive learned many lessons this month and it is about mixtures,

classification of matter, periodic table of elements, etc.

What is the hardest topic?

For me, the hardest topic is about the Periodic Table of Elements. It is hard if
you are lazy to study and memorize the elements. Because you have to
memorize all the elements in the periodic table and if what group they belong,
what kind of element it is, etc.

How I learned this topic.

I learned this topic by studying hard until I memorized it. But I didnt memorize
all of the elements yet but I memorized some of it.

Reflection
During the month of July, I found out that my scores are better than the
other month. I still did my best to keep my scores high even though Im not that
smart like some of my classmates but I still did my best. I believe that my
scores will improve next month. I also thank God for giving me wisdom, so that I
can answer our quizzes.

THE MONTH OF JULY
In the month of July, we have some activities in Chemistry. We also have
some experiments and we have learned so much about those experiments. Im
going to tell you about our lessons, activities and experiments. Our lessons in
the month of July were about mixtures, classification of matter, periodic table of
elements, etc. We also have experiments like observing the difference of the
boiling point of the sea water and distilled water, and the difference between
substances and mixtures based on how they melt. As I observed in our
experiment about the difference of the boiling point of the sea water and
distilled water, the sea water boils faster than the distilled water. In the
difference between substances and mixtures based on how they melt, the
substance is melting completely and smoothly but the mixture does not melt
completely and smoothly because there are some portions cannot melt
completely. During the nutrition month, there is a contest in robotics dance and
all the grade level participated and all the contestants are good in dancing. I
like to have an experiment in chemistry because I like to observe things. Im
happy because Ive learned new lessons. I believe that my scores will improve
next month. I thank God for giving me strength to go to school every day.

NARRATIVE REPORT FOR

THE MONTH OF JULY
This School year is so exciting. Meeting new classmates, new people, new
teachers, knowing new things, learning new things, and having so many friends
too. The first day of this school year was so exciting, yet nervous too. I m so
happy meeting my new classmates and meeting my new teachers too. And this
is the beginning of being part of Gusa, Regional Science High School. Science
is my favorite subject. Math, not really but Im trying to be good at it. When I first
met our Science teacher, Teacher Cass, I was nervous cause her face was so
serious and im not used at having an old teacher. I thought that shell be mad
easily but shes a good teacher and teaches us well. We had our little activity
about the table of elements and it was so fun. On the next week, we started
having our experiments about having solutions by mixing the solutes and the
solvent. We an experiment where we mixed NaCl (table salt) on a 20ml water
and observed what would happen to the salt. Will it dissolve or not? We also
had our experiment where we mixed oil into the water and observed what would
happen. The result was the oil floats above the water because of its density.
After a week, sir Oliver told us that we are going to have our new teacher in
Science and itt will not be teacher cass anymore. Some of us were sad about it.
But we understand it. Now, the new teacher that sir Oliver said was teacher
Christy. At first I was again nervous because I thought she will be strict but no,

she wasnt. teacher Christy teached us about solving and finding the percent of
the volume, percent of the mass, the solution and more. When she is teaching
infront, she wants us to behave and listen well to her. She dont want a noisy
class. She wants s to listen for us to learn quickly. She gave us a group activity
where she gave us a problem that we are going to answer.

our teacher taught us on how to play SYMBO. Its actually BINGO but it
changed to SYMBO.
