SUFFERERS IN PUSKESMAS KOTARAJA JAYAPURA CITY Margawati Ponglangan1, John Toding Padang1, Suselo2 ABSTRACT Background: Lungs tuberculosis is becoming the main problem in Indonesia with become the global report in all nations. The large number of treatment noncompliance will result in high rates of treatment failure and causes lung resistant to standard treatment. Obedience is a loyalty program that is recommended throughout the treatment. The obedience to the treatment to this disease regularly and completely in 6 to 9 months until the patient is totally health. Purpose: To know the factors related to the medical treatment obedience to the lungs sufferers in Puskesmas Kotaraja Jayapura City. Method: This research is a descriptive correlation by using cross sectional study design with the populations and samples are lungs tuberculosis sufferers who get medical treatment in Puskesmas Kotaraja Jayapura City, 41 sufferers, who are taken with total sampling and fulfil the inclusion criteria. Result: The process using chi square analysis. The result of this research is the correlations of knowledge and medical treatment obedience to lungs tuberculosis is p value 0,03 < 0, 05, the correlation of the behavior to wards obedience of medical treatment is p value 0,00 < 0,05, the correlation of the medical treatment obedience is p value 0,00 < 0,05, and the correlation between medical workers and the obedience of medical treatment is p value 0,00 < 0,05. Conclusion: It can be concluded that there is a correlation among knowledge, behavior, family support and medical workers support with the medical treatment obedience of lungs tuberculosis in Puskesmas Kotaraja Jayapura City.
