Do not disassemble or reconstruct battery
The battery has safety functions and a protective circuit/safety circuit to avoid danger. If
those have a serious damage it will cause heat, smoke, rupture or flames.
Short-circuit
Do not short-circuit battery
Do not connect the (+) and (-) terminals with metals (such as wire). Do not carry or store
the battery with metallic objects (such as wire, necklaces or hairpins). If the battery is
short-circuited, excessive current will flow and this will generate heat, smoke, rupture or
flames.
And it also generates heat at metals.
15

Incineration and heating

Do not incinerate or heat up the battery
Melting of insulators, damaging of gas valves or safety functions or inflaming
electrolytes: those mentioned points will cause heat, smoke, rupture or flames.
Use nearby a heated place
Do not use battery nearby fire, stoves or heated places (more than 80C)

Do not continue to charge battery over specified time (overcharge)
If you charge battery over the specified time there is the possibility that the battery might
generate heat, smoke, rupture or flames.
Store
Do not put into a microwave or a high pressure container
It causes heat, smoke, rupture or flames because of a sudden developing heat or damage
of the sealing air of battery.
Leakage
Do not use a leaked battery nearby fire
If liquid is leaking from the battery (or the battery gives out strange smell) get the battery
away from flammable objects immediately. If you do not do so, the electrolyte leaked
from the battery will catch fire and cause smoke, flames or rupture.

d= 1.2 m P for 80 MHz to 800 MHz

d= 2.3 m P for 800 MHz to 2.5 GHz
with P as the maximum nominal power of the transmitter in
watts (W) according to the transmitter manufacturers
specifications and d as the recommended safe distance in metres
(m).
According to a locala survey, the field strength of stationary
transmitters should be less than the compatibility level with all
frequencies. b
In the environment of appliances, which the following diagram
shows, interference is possible.

NOTE 1 The higher frequency range is at 80 MHz and 800 MHz.

NOTE 2 These guidelines may not be applicable in all cases. The spread of electromagnetic
fields is influenced by absorption and reflection of buildings, objects and people.
a The field strength of stationary transmitters, for example mobile and portable landline
phone base stations, amateur radio stations, AM and FM radio and television stations
cannot theoretically be accurately predetermined. To ascertain the electromagnetic
environment regarding stationary transmitters, a study of the area should be considered. If
the measured field strength in the area in which the VV 3001 MED is used exceeds the
above compatibility levels, the VV 3001 MED should be monitored to demonstrate the
usage according to regulations. If unusual performance characteristics are observed,
additional measures may be necessary, for example a change in direction or a different
position for the VV 3001 MED.
b With a frequency range of 150 kHz to 80 MHz, the field strength should be less than 3 V/m.

Recommended safe distance between portable and mobile HF telecommunication appliances and the
VV 3001 MED
The VV 3001 MED is designed for use in an electromagnetic environment, in which the HF disturbances are controlled.
Thereby the buyer or user of the VV 3001 MED can help to avoid electromagnetic disturbances by adhering to the minimum
distance between portable and mobile HF telecommunication appliances (transmitters) and the VV 3001 MED dependent on
the power output of the communication appliance, as stated below.

For transmitters, whose maximum nominal power is not given in the table above, the
recommended safe distance d in metres (m) can be calculated by using the equation, which
the respective column is a part of, where P is the maximum nominal power of the appliance
in watts (W) according to the specification of the transmitter manufacturer.
NOTE 1 The higher frequency range is at 80 MHz and 800 MHz.
NOTE 2 These guidelines may not be applicable in all cases. The spread of electromagnetic
