National Institutional Ranking Framework

The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) was launched in 2016 to rank
higher educational institutions in the country based on objective criteria to promote
competitive excellence in the higher educational institutions. More than 3500
institutions participated in this exercise in the first year, resulting in declaration of
India Rankings 2016 on 4th April 2016.
NIRF now announces India Rankings 2017, the second edition of this annual
exercise. The registration process will start on September 1, 2016 and will end on
30th September 2016. All the centrally funded technical institutions/ central
universities & institutions/colleges coming under the purview of AICTE and UGC
are advised to register and upload the data as required for the India Rankings 2017.
