Tool

Applies to:
Across all the modules in SAP for master data/ transaction data uploads during cutover activities.

Summary
This article explains the steps involved for uploading of master data & cutover open items by using CATT
tool, which will be useful for the functional consultants with out the help of writing BDC program by the ABAP
consultant.

Introduction
As we all know there are so many ways to upload of transaction data / master data of FICO module like
LSMS/ BDC/ BAPI/ CATT tool

Objective
As this CATT tool got so many advantages like:
1. Which can be used with out any ABAP coding,
2. Save the time at the time of implementations/ upload scenarios.
3. Which can by done by functional consultants with out any ABAP consultants help
4. Which can be uploaded from Development client to Testing client to get the testing sign-off and can
be directly uploaded in to Production client from Development as well.
5. To upload from Dev to Prod client we need to check RFC settings at basis module level.
At t code: SCC4 this setup should be there.

The objective of this article is to explain you on step by step process to upload master data / open item data
at cutover time by functional consultant himself.

Upload master data / transaction data transactions at cutover time for implementation.

Steps Involved

Step 1
Procedure
Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:

SAP Menu Tools®ABAP Workbench® Test®Test workbench®SCATT


Transaction Code SCAT

Note: All these test cases should be start with Z letter. Ex: ZGLUPLOAD

Give test case name (ZGLUPLOAD), title & Component by using F4 help (FI-GL-GL-AP)

Save the same, if you want to transport this object to testing client / production clients in case if the basis
setup was not available at SCC4 level / RFC setup was not helping CATT tools.

Then select change icon after creation of transport request.

Select Record icon in the below screen:

Give the document date text and remove the value from Field contents (This field contents will be default
value at the time of upload) as below.

Press enter. That document date field will become grey.


For document type:

We need to do for all other fields like as above, then select next screen icon

In the next screen as well we have to do for all the fields as above.

After finishing for all the fields select next screen icon.

Transfer to desktop

Note: The flat file name should be same as object name (program) ex: ZGLUPLOAD

Open this excel sheet: Give the data from C5 cell of the excel sheet.

Select remote execution icon and give testing client as upload server.
