Rules
1. Using Dr. Gregs writing instrument: 40 baht
2. Using Dr. Gregs calculator or stapler: 40 baht
3. Mobile phone makes any sound or vibrates in class or meeting with
Dr. Greg: 60 baht
4. Answering mobile phone in class or meeting with Dr. Greg: 100 baht
5. Spell Dr. Gregs name incorrectly: 100 baht
6. More than two page explanation for anything: 80 baht
7. Printing: 20 baht per page
8. Each time you tell Dr. Greg Up to you: 80 baht
9. Each excuse: 60 baht

10. More than two minutes late for an appointment, or missed deadline:
100 baht
11. More than fifteen minutes late for an appointment (or no show): 200
baht
12. More than one word answer to a question whose answer is yes or
no: 100 baht
13. Incorrect file names on softcopy submissions: 200 baht (first occurrence), 500 baht (second occurrence), 1000 baht (third and subsequent
occurrence)
14. Sending an email to Dr. Greg regarding an appointment: 200 baht.
(Second or more occurrence: 500 baht.)
15. Sending an SMS or text message to Dr. Gregs mobile phone regarding
an appointment without calling: 200 baht. (Second or more occurrence: 500 baht.)
16. Sending an email message to Dr. Greg with attachments greater than
2.0 meg in size: 200 baht. (Second or more occurrence: 500 baht.)

17. Submitting the softcopy of a document to Dr. Greg by email: 200

baht. Second occurrence: 400 baht. Third and more occurrence: 600
baht.
18. Submitting a softcopy without your name, date or page numbers: 50
baht first occurrence. 200 baht second occurrence. 500 baht third and
subsequent occurrence.
19. Submitting a file to Dr. Greg with wrong filename format: 100 baht
first occurrence. 500 baht second and subsequent occurrences.
20. Submitting anything to Dr. Greg in a Microsoft proprietary format:
500 baht. Second occurrence 1,000 baht. Dr. Greg does not use any
Microsoft product.
21. Sending an email message to Dr. Greg with more than one of Dr.
Gregs email addresses: 200 baht. Second occurrence 500 baht. Third
and subsequent occurrence 1,000 baht.
22. Interest: calculated at 10% per day compounded.
23. Dr. Greg does not follow rules.

Appointments

Please make an appointment to see me in my Google calendar. Alternatively,

use a telephone to call me.
1. Email. I will never reply to, or acknowledge, email requesting appointments for meetings, presentations, etc. Any email regarding an
appointment will be completely ignored.
2. SMS/text messages. If you cannot reach me by telephone, please send
a text message to me. Any message sent without a telephone call will
be ignored.

My Telephone Number

Please note that I will receive phone calls or SMS/text messages on only one
phone number; the number that I have distributed to you. Phone calls or
text messages sent to any other phone number will be completely ignored.

Soft Copy Submissions to me

1. Soft copy submissions to me should be made via Dropbox.
2. File names. Softcopy file names will be in the format of YYMMDDfilename.yourname.ext for YearYearMonthMontDayDay followed by a file
name of your choosing, followed by a period, your name and the file
type extension. For example: 130124RulesCURRENT.Greg.pdf would

be the name of this file. Only letters, numbers and . are to be used
in filenames.
3. Submissions by email will be ignored.
4. Please provide me with a hard copy of submissions as convenient for
you.

Late Thesis Students (More than four semesters)

1. Students who choose to work are expected to make progress on their
thesis in all semesters.
2. Defenses will be scheduled only in September and February for any
student who has completed four semesters at AIT.

Alumni
1. All OTM Alumni are exempt from all of Dr. Gregs Rules.
2. OTM Alumni are encouraged to make up their own rules!
3. Application of the rules to AIT alumni from other fields of study will
be at Dr. Gregs discretiion (OTM is Special).
