MSSD Squash
My father introduced me and my two other siblings to squash in
early 2014.We trained under our coach, Kenny Foo,who taught us
how to play the game. In the early stages, our coach taught us all
the basic steps of the game and recently he started teaching more
advanced strokes and how to play in competitive tournaments.
I started taking part in squash tournaments last year and was
able to personally experience the excitement and thrills of playing in
competitive games with other junior players like myself .In short
period of time, I had the opportunity to play in the CIMB National
Junior Championships, Redtone Junior Championships and also the
Unity Games which is played between Malaysia and Singapore.
Although I have not won any titles up to this stage, Im
determined and confident that through persistence effort on my
end, one day I will able to make my mark in this world-class game.
Till then, I will have to continue to train hard and push myself to win
squash tournaments and someday relish the opportunity to play for
my country,Malaysia. I hope to emulate the success of world
renowned players such as Ramy Ashour, Nick Matthew,Peter Nicol
and of course, our very own national pride, Ong Beng Hee and Nicol
David.
