Research on AS/RS Simulation Modeling and

Evaluating Based on Flexsim Software
AS/RS (Automated Storage and Retrieval System) is a typical discrete,
random, muti-elements, muti-targets complex system, there are high
risks associated with implementation of such a costly system.It is
designed for both use of semi-finished goods and finished goods, built in
a workshop of the factory. Not only for traditional warehouse use, the
AS/RS is also designed for the packing semi-finished goods supply by
directly connecting to the packing machines. In Flexsim, the items stay
inside the racks according to the minimum dwell time defined in rack
property page, when the stay time reach the minimum dwell time,
Flexsim will generate a store out command queue to ASRS Vehicle
automatically; this is usually used for AS/RS system limit output test.

2. Simulation System for Logistics in Steelmaking

about time balance between the every process exists in production
process of steelmaking using continous casting. simulation in
steelmaking process will help to find the problem of logistics balance and
demand balance, diagnose production bottleneck and critical path, and
optimize production running and scheduling scheme, which can realize
improving the efficiency of equipments, saving energy , reducing
consumption and reducing cost.
