Chapter 1
PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND
Introduction
Water Refilling Station has an efficient water purification process

that can surely make the quality and cleanliness for the risk of water
contamination for the safe of the customers. Aquatic Dragon Water Refilling
Station
started
since
December
2011.
Mr.
Russel
Mones
invested
600,000.00 to start the business. Water Refilling Station is an alternative

source of drinking water supply so he choose this business because water is
one of the major needs of the people in the community. He runs the business
with his loving wife and with the help of their workers. The Aquatic Dragon
Water Refilling Station is located in Block-15, Lot-8, Chavez St. Central
Bicutan, Taguig City. The business monthly income is estimated 150,000.00.
The Aquatic Dragon Water Refilling Station offers a cheaper price that
customers can afford. The business can be contact in this number
+639088661978.
They manually operate the business, so our group the BSCS
students design Water Delivery System that easily facilitates the basic

process of the business like counting the daily sales and the number of
delivered containers/gallons.
Background
The Aquatic Dragon Water Station is a water refilling station that

serves water in the customers. It is a delivery and walk-in service depends
on the customers. Through analysis it is found the following problems in the
existing manually wrote system. It consumes more time in writing down the
total containers/gallons per day. They wrote down the number of water
gallons per served, manually computing the total of their daily sales and
also, it takes time in manually searching in the log book to find customers
bill or debits and the total gallons of water that has been sold. The
procedures of this company is not totally easy, it is time consuming
especially in computing of the delivered water and the total of their income
in a day.
We notice the poor procedure of this company business so it is
required to make a system about this problem. A Water Delivery System, this
application can easily access in delivering water, especially in adding the

total delivered water in a day, computing for the customers order, inputting
the customers details and printing the receipt.

REQUIREMENT ANALYSIS
Problem Definition
As all of us know in the first place, all the Water Refilling

Station or Water Delivery Station uses manual transactions of their business.
This cannot assure that the data of the water delivered is secured in the
logbook, because sometimes this will be misplaced that causes to be lost.
And this may be spill by water that causes to be unread. It takes a long
process in serving the customers.
Nowadays, Computer is one of the most User-friendly
technologies that help us in everyday living. This is the most useful

technology that every one of us has use. As a Computer Science Student and
because of the manual transactions of the business our group proposed a
system that can help to improve the transactions of the company. A Water

documenting the everyday transactions.
User and Beneficiaries
The Aquatic Dragon Water Refilling Station is the main

beneficiaries of the system. The user is the owner. It will help the workers to
compute their daily sales and compute easily their delivering service. The
owner has a copy of every transaction by having a connection to the system
of his company. And also the costumers help it because they are given a
receipt in every gallons of water that they buy so that they know their bill.
Our gives our very best, explore our ideas, doing some research to propose a
system that best fit to the company business. We work hard helping each
other to develop the system Water Delivery.

Nature of System Investigation
Our group has given the opportunity to interview and handle the
situation of the Aquatic Dragon Water Refilling Station near at Chavez St.
Central Bicutan, Taguig City. As the group conducts an interview with the
client the Aquatic Dragon Water Refilling Station, we ask them on how they
handle their business and what they use on having the customers
information and what are the process in serving water to them. The owner
told us that their company business uses manual transactions. We gathered
some information about the process of their manual way of transcripting

data of their customer and products. So we are continuing our research to

improve our work for our respective clients.
Recently, the data or records of every customers has a handy
problem regarding about on how they are going to assure that they recorded
data is well organized and safe from missing or losing it.
Scope
Easily compute their sales per day.

Add, edit and update the data of the costumers.
The costumers can have a receipt in every gallons of water they
bought.
The customers can choose whether by-self, walk-in or delivery.
Set date and time when to deliver.
Limitation
Cant connect through online services.

beneficiaries of our created system. They have operating manually in dealing

with the customers orders and some of their other works in this company.
The manual processed shows how the information is being transcript in a
single logbook together with the receipt with a single sheet of paper. The
Aquatic Dragon Water Refilling Station is one of the helpful stations that can
serve a community with fresh water; there is some situation that the
document or logbook of daily transaction is having been lost so the data of
the customers which is the receipt and the address will missed. The process
will became slow because they will start over again or find the missing pages
of the logbook. The customers get mad and bored of the slow process.

Process Description
The existing system is a manual process which they use

logbook in writing down the details of the costumers and calculating the
costumers order, and the gallons delivered. In this existing way of managing
the company business is not secured, the owner which uses the logbook can
also be use by the workers. The costumers could also be one because they
can write down their information in the logbook. Costumers went to the
store, the owner of the business or the workers shall also ask to the
costumers where is their address?, how many gallons they want to
delivered?, is it walk-in or delivery service? When the costumers give the
information, the owner or the workers write down the information in the
logbook. And after that, the owner will compute how many are the costumers
order. Then the staff or the workers will fill the container with water and
serve this to the costumers whether it is by-self, walk-in, or delivering service
that can be assist by the delivery boy

PROPOSED ALTERNATIVE
Understanding the System
Our proposed system will represent a computerized Aquatic

Dragon Water Refilling Station in computing their daily works and task. It will
provide an up-to-date data like what time or date that customer needs a
service delivery or has been ordered, they can search database on when
customer date ordered not just like searching in a logbook that can eat up
time. This can easily compute their daily, monthly transaction with just
simple clicks not like using calculators. This could manage and consumes
your time in recording and computing. It is less hardwork, less efforts and
the customers will never be bored. A customer who is in a hurry will never be
mad. This system is the accurate and an efficient way of serving water to the

The proposed system is effectively calculate and easily create

generated information of the customers and gallons delivered. This research
is focused on the improvement of customer delivery process and calculated
process. We use Visual Studio 2010 platforms and MySQL connection in
developing this system. We established this system for the solution of the
manual process and for easy and more convenient way of delivering water. If
the customers data is inputted you can add, update and delete customers.
We can also print the receipt of the customers order. The water delivery data
is stored in the database of this system. The Owner inputs the data given by
customers like the name of customers, how many gallons will be delivered,
where the address is and how far it is, how many gallons they want to
deliver. Once the details is inputted in the system, the owner deals with the
workers to refill the gallons based on the data how many gallons the
customers wants to delivered. Then the workers deals with the delivery boy
to delivered the water gallons whether it is walk-in distance or far away
distance with the use of water delivery service. This study is useful for the
easy manipulation of the Water Delivery System.

The proposed Water Delivery System is implemented with the

group and the owner in Aquatic Dragon Water Refilling Station. We test the
system if it operates and works properly. We Check if it is delivering a correct

system are and how to use it. He tests the controls and functionality of the
system.

SUMMARY
This chapter provides a brief description of the documentation.

Conclusion
The main purpose of this system is to fasten the transactions of the
company business. This study helps the business operation. Our purpose is to present
this study to our beneficiaries with our effective methods.
Therefore, we conclude that the proposed system must be implemented

and to make them know the methods that they are going to used this system for the
sake of their company business.

ABSTRACT
This thesis documents a research program in which a new open

system was developed. This system will help the Aquatic Dragon Water Refilling Station
to easily manage their company business and to fasten their transactions. The aim of
this study is how the system is integrated in the Water Refilling Stations. The problem
Statement relies on understanding how does this may create a situation in the long-term
use. In Order to comply with these objectives, a system was built with methods based
on how they are going to monitor and process their business. This is one of the easiest

way that helps their transactions in being conflict. This system would help in the water
stations more accurately and efficiently. Our group help each other to achieve our main
goal and simultaneously create a system with researching, conducting and interpreting.
To our beneficiaries, the system is helpful to their company business.
