Amen, amen I say to you, whoever keeps my word will never see death. (John 8:51)
That is the bible that has potential to be made into a conditional, converse, inverse, and
contrapositive. Through the perspective of a Christian the conditional, converse, and inverse are
true. The conditional if keep the word of the lord then he says you will never see death and as a
Christian I believe that to be true.
The beginning part has no relevance in the process of making a conditional but the rest
does. The conditional of the verse is if you keep my word, then you will never see death. And
this this a true statement. The hypothesis is the phrase that comes after if and the conclusion is
the phrase after then.
The converse is the opposite of that statement and now is if you have never seen death,
then you have kept my word which is also true. The converse is saying that if you havent seen
death then you kept the lord word and if the lords word is true then that makes the converse true
and I believe the Lords word is true.
The inverse is the original statement except negative do it is now if you have not kept
my word, then have seen death and that is false statement. The inverse of verse is havent you
havent kept the lords word then you have seen death and I believe this could be true but also
there could be situations where this isnt always correct. People see others die every day on the
news and even personality if someones too old or theyve had pet die or even if a person
someone die in a car accident. In these situations, people could have not kept the lords word but
these are everyday situations that people who have are bound to witness the event.
Lastly is the contrapositive, which is the converse statement except its negative so the
contrapositive is if you have seen death, then you have not kept my word and I believe that is a
false statement. The contrapositive is if you have seen death, then you have not kept the word of
the Lord and I believe it is false for the same reasons that the inverse is false. Death is not an
uncommon thing in life, it is part of cycle and if you have seen it, that doesnt mean you havent
kept Gods word it only means you have seen another part of life and where it ends.
It is said that if you keep his word you will never see death. What is Gods word then,
that is the question that arises from this statement. The word of God is in the bible for the Holy
Spirit inspired the authors of the bible. The bible is full of books of the past before and during
Jesus was on this earth. It tells story of creation, the history of the Jews, the stories and writings
of the prophets, and the story of Jesus himself in the perspective of so many others who knew or
heard of him. So if Gods word are the true stories and wisdom of the Bible that means is you
follow the bible you will never see death. But others say the bible is a tool and gives guidance to
live your life. The Bibles wisdom and passages tell the way that God wants us to live and what

he wants us to know. He is sharing the way he wanted humans to be from the beginning through
the prophets and the stories that they told. The word of the Bible is the word of the Lord so if
thats true the Bibles guidance must make you live in a way that you shall not see death. It must
show you a way of life that death is not of concern or worry. The word of God is meant to help
his people live a life of love and joy and that is what he wanted from the beginning. So if we lost
that from the beginning that must mean the bible is what is here show us and remind us we still
can live in love and joy with God. So if we keep his word we shall never see death, for if we
have, we havent kept his word.
So from a Christian perspective and outlook on this bible versus the conditional and
converse are true. Also the inverse and contrapositive are false do to the fact the statements dont
apply to everyone in every situation. I have reflected and believe that the bible is the word of
God so the conditional says live by the bible and you will never see death. And I believe that
living by the bible will give you a life where you will not experience death around you. The bible
is the guide to a happy life and this verse can prove that to be true.
