AlcoholandDrugInteraction
Theinteractionbetweenmanymedicationsandalcoholcanleadtoasignificantincreaseinone'sriskofillness,injury,orevendeath.Whencertainmedications
andalcoholcompeteinthebodyforabsorption,thepotencyofthemedicationand/oralcoholisoftenincreased.Thereisnosetformulaforwhatwillhappen
whenanindividualconsumesbothalcoholandamedication.Eachpersonisdifferent,andtheresultsofthistypeofpotentiallyfatalcocktailvarybasedonthe
typeandquantityofmedicationandalcoholingested,thetimeframeinvolved,theindividual'stolerancetoboththemedicationandtoalcohol,aswellasaseries
ofunpredictable,uniquefactors.Tobesafe,nevermixalcoholwithanytypeofmedication,whetherprescriptionoroverthecounter,beforefirstcheckingwitha
