Life
Lots of people make New Years Resolutions at the beginning of a new year.
Whats a Resolution? Well, it is like a promise to yourself that you are going to change your life a
little by doing something new or by stopping some bad habits. People think it is a good time to try
and change as its the beginning of a new year and so the beginning of new things.
I love sport especially football. I play football but I want to get
better, I want to play for Real Madrid. This year I am going to join
a club and do more exercise. Im also going to stop eating junk food
because I think this will help me to play well.
Plus, I want to be a good person so Im going to be kind and help
other children...........Jack 12yrs
When I am older, I want to be a dentist. I have to pass all my
exams to get a place at University and work hard there. So this
year Im going to revise and do extra lessons. Im also going to stop
surfing the Internet on schooldays, I think this will help me to
focus on my studies. I want to help my mum, so this year Im going
to help her more, Im going to do more chores around the
house......Mary 14yrs old

be able to speak to Spanish people and perhaps make some friends
so this year Im going to learn Spanish, Im going to start a
language course and read Spanish books in my free time. Also Im
going to stop shouting at my little brother, sometimes he takes my
things but hes only five so I m going to be patient with
him........Joe 14 yrs old.
I love singing and I want to be a professional singer when Im
older. This year Im going to learn how to play the guitar so I can
join a band. I would love to sing and play guitar with my band in a
concert so Im going to practise a lot. Also my mum is always telling
me to tidy my room, so this year Im going to tidy it every day to
make my mum happy. .............Hanna 13 yrs old.
