1. As an epic, how does the movie Troy fit the characteristic of epic?
2. The Greek kings launch an attack on Troy because Paris taker her away to Troy. Give
your opinion about this. Do you think Helen is the only reason of the war?

4. Achilles is an important figure in Troy war. Give as much description as possible about
him.
5. In the Trojan War, gods and goddesses are involved. Example: Goddess Testis, Achilles'

The gods and goddesses' are taking their own side, either to the Greek or to Troy. Explain
about the involvement.

THE ANSWER
1. Troy is one of the example of epic movie. It is tell about Trojan War which based on a
poem The Iliad and Odyssey by Homer. This movie starring Brad Pitt as Achilles, Eric
Bana as Hector, Orlando Bloom as Paris, Diane Kruger as Helen, Sean Bean as
Odysseus, Brian Cox as Agamemnon, Rose Byrne as Briseis, Garrett Hedlund as
Patroclus, Peter O'Toole as Priam, Brendan Gleeson as Menelaus, and Tyler Mane as
Ajax.
Troy is an epic war heroism binding in psychology, bloody war with eroticism, and also a
great adventure with political cunning.
This design, which is rebellion legendary hero Achilles, loyalty prince of Troy, Hector
and Paris are eager harsh and hasty, and also the Greek warrior Odysseus wily and
pragmatic. It also tells more about the heroism of Achilles (Brad Pitt) and Hector (Eric
Bana). There is an opposite character of the heroism Achilles and Hector, i.e. Paris. Paris
is a faint hearted person. Appears on his lack, such as small, thin body, immature, selfish
and timid. While, with such gems as Brian Cox's magnificently malevolent Agamemnon,

3. Helen, who is described as the personification of the ideal beauty. And also Helen
regarded as the daughter of Zeus, king of the Gods and hatched by his mother, Leda, from
eggs. And in this movie, Helen was sad and regret his decision. Hoping to be reunited
with Menelaus. portrayal of Helen, loneliness, helplessness and despair, finding refuge
while Troy burned. On the other hand contradict the story that simulates Helen Bacchic
ritual slaughter and rejoice in it.
4. Achilles is legendary hero and formidable warrior. Archilles a man half god, father of
man and his mother a goddess. He is Arrogant, rebellious and seemingly invincible,
Achilles has no allegiance to anyone or anything, save his own glory. It is his insatiable
hunger for eternal renown that leads him to attack the gates of Troy. He will go to war
for honor. Achilles is described in positive way. It also tells on their strength, ability to
fight against their enemies, their spirit of patriotism and their courageous. In the warand
also one man alone stands as the key to victory or defeat over TroyAchilles, believed to
be the greatest warrior alive. With possibly-superhuman quickness and a characteristic
jump-move that well see several more times, he stabs his opponent once, and its all
over.
5. In the Trojan War which cultural ties attached to ancient Greece is the belief in gods. The
battle was won by Troy, when soldiers are not reinforced by Achilles Sparta because of
their supreme god Apollo god angry at Spartan soldiers who have devastated the temple
of the god Apollo and the decapitated statue of the god Apollo. While Sparta also believes
the gods, and they shall have their supreme god is Zeus, the supreme god of Greek.
Sparta had a great battle tactics, proved Sparta was able to conquer Troy. To master and
conquer an area must be the path of war, there is no way other than war. And indeed
recognized throughout the period that the Spartans of Greece, was great in war. And then,

Troy beach is very meaningful for the kingdom of Troy, because on this beach
there is a temple shrine of the god Apollo, the sun god who is the supreme god of
the kingdom of Troy.
