Covers electrical quantities and variables; circuit principles; signal processing circuits, DC and
AC circuit analysis; and diodes, transistors and operational amplifiers and digital devices

Define basic electric circuit concepts and perform power and energy calculation.
Find the current, voltage, and power in resistive circuits using basic analysis techniques, such as
circuit reduction, current and voltage division.
Use more advanced electric circuit analysis techniques such as nodal analysis, mesh analysis, and
Thevenin theorem.
Determine the energy stored in or drawn from capacitors and inductors.
Perform transient analysis for first-order RC and RL circuits.
Express sinusoids as phasors and calculate the impedance of different circuit elements.
Apply circuit analysis techniques to steady state AC circuits.
Compute the average power in steady state AC circuits.
Design circuits for maximum power transfer.
Explain diode operation and analyze simple diode-circuits.
Design basic rectifier circuits, choppers and peak detectors.
Explain transistor operation.
Analyze op-amp signal processing circuits.
Design basic signal conditioning circuits using op-amps.
