Certifications:
The Web and Digital Design pathway highlights and exposes students to the emerging technologies impacting
the digital world. Professional communication skills and practices, problem-solving, ethical and legal issues, and
the impact of effective presentation skills are taught in this course as a foundational knowledge to prepare
students to be college and career ready. The knowledge and skills taught in this course build upon each other to
form a comprehensive introduction to digital world
End of Pathway Assessment:
Students completing a pathway are eligible to take a Credentialing/End of Pathway Assessment (EOPA) upon
successful completion of the THREE (3) required courses in the pathway. Completing the Web and Digital
NOCTI Assessment successfully (exam cut score is 48%) allows the student to earn certification in Web and
Digital Design under the Information and Technology Career Cluster. The testing window is April 10, 2017
April 21, 2017. This mandate for end of pathway assessment, set forth in the new Perkins IV Legislation,
requires states to implement a mechanism to ascertain the level of the technical skill attainment on behalf of its
CTAE students. This assessment provides students an opportunity to demonstrate what they have learned by
completing an on-line, nationally recognized exam. Students who complete a pathway and earn an industry
credential by passing the assessment will receive a graduation medallion to signify their achievement.
