CAT 2016: IIMs start PI Shortlisting

Indian Institute of management Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Bangalore and
Kozhikode have released the list of shortlisted candidates who have qualified
for CAT 2016 exam These candidates will get a chance to seek admission to
management courses at the premier institutes of country.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE:

Candidates will receive call letters for the Written Test Ability(WTA),
Personal Interview(PI) and Group Discussion(GD).IIM may use other factors
like previous academic performance of the candidate, relevant work
experience and other similar inputs while various stages of admission
procedure.
IIM AHMEDABAD:
Shortlisted candidates need to appear for IIM-A selection process. These
candidates will inform via post latest by the second week of January
2017.Student can also visit official website of IIM-A for more details. WAT
and PI will conduct in the following cities.

New Delhi
Calcutta
Ahmedabad
Mumbai
Chennai
Hyderabad
Bangalore

IIM BANGALORE:
The admissions department follows a well-defined and detailed admission
process which judges candidates on a number of parameters since empirical
research on recruitment and selection shows the efficacy of multiple criteria.
Selection of the candidate will be made on the basis of past academic
performance, CAT 2016 score, performance in the interview, and work
experience.
This year 40% weightage will be given to CAT 2016 score and 60% will be
given to other attributes. These parameters are set for initial screening of
candidates for subsequent rounds.

IIM CALCUTTA:
IIM Calcutta has decided the weightage of CAT 2016 as low as 15 out of 50.
Personal Interview holds maximum weightage with 24 out of 50. The
candidates are advised to prepared for WAT/PI as their admission depends
on their performance.
IIM KOZHIKODE:
IIM Kozhikode gives 45% weightage to personal interview and 15% to
WAT.As personal interview is given highly weightage candidate should
concentrate more on PI. It is the most essential factor while admission
procedure. Qualified candidates will have to fill up a personal profile form
which is available on the website.This is necessary to attend the PI and WAT.

IIM Lucknow:
The IIM Lucknow cutoff for the general category candidates is 90 percentile.
The CAT 2016 candidates can check their eligibility by logging in to the
official website with CAT registration number and registered email ID.
