5.2. Singing of National Anthems

Sing the national anthems with pride.
Pronounce the lyrics clearly. (Teachers demonstrate to the learners
pronunciation and formation of lips, position of teeth and tongue, and sing with
them in front of the class so they can follow you. Exaggeration is a strategy for
second language learners.)
Check: "Sa langit mong bughaw," NOT mo'y bughaw
Leaders should sing.
We raise the flags at the first note of the anthems.
We look at the flags while they are being raised.
During the singing of the anthems, we should stand steadily where we are
until the singing of the anthems is finished.
Conductors should demonstrate proper hand movement , rhythmic ability
proper singing.
5.3. Reciting pledges, school vision and mission
Recite wholeheartedly by saying the words clearly and speaking with proper
pacing and phrasing
Leaders should recite sincerely and with mastery. Demonstrate appropriate
facial expressions and manner of reciting to the audience. They should not
laugh during the recitation.
5.4. Singing of PSB Hymn and School Anniversary Theme Song
Sing the song with expression.
Pronounce the lyrics clearly: For the school song- though (not dough) , true
- through, strength, live, deed-/ (not did)
Leaders should sing.
5.5. Morning exercise
We believe that physical activity in the morning stimulates brain and thinking.
Therefore, perform morning exercises with leaders who are ready and confident.
Duration of exercise is 3 minutes only.
5.6. Going back to the classrooms
All students who are on separate lines should get their bags before joining the
lines to the classrooms.
The kindergarten pupils form single line in going to the classrooms. They use
the side entrance of the lobby.
The primary grades pupils use the Emergency Exit door. (This door is opened
for entrance only during this time). Children form single line and will need to
observe the "keep right" policy in moving up.
Intermediate grades students will form single line and use the main entrance
of the lobby. Observing the "keep right" policy, they will follow their assigned
route to their classrooms.
Ensure safety on the staircases.
Routines and discipline are parts of a school culture. Lets keep an ennobling culture
at PSB.
