Future Goals: I plan to attend a 4 year university and major in nursing and
minor in Spanish. I want a career in one of the most prestigious hospital,
once I obtain ample of experience and my back up would be a financial
advisor in a well-known bank.

Activities:

 Black Student Union (BSU) - During my junior year, I was a

member of BSU, an establishment that serves to create an unbreakable
bond among black students and faculty. Club members and I
participated and organized number of events such as, Black History
Month activities, group outings and participating in community
events.

Natural Beauties Club- I was part of Carson Highs Natural Beauty

Club where each and every individual is allowed to express
themselves in their own natural unique way. Its a social club that has
allowed me to except the natural beauty I have and pursue the
confidence I need to have as a young maturing adult.
Boys and Girls club (BGC) - I am part of Carsons Boys and Girls

club, where every young person is enabled to reach their full potential.
I have grown to be productive and responsible with the help from
BGC. Currently Im taking Personal Development 20, where i am
provided the opportunity to gain more knowledge about university life
and develop skills to help me achieve success in college.
California Scholarship Federation (CSF) It is Californias highest
honor society for high school students. We represent our school
through school, community, and world service. It gave me the
opportunity to further my leadership skills. I worked with other
committee members to plan and complete service projects, raise
scholarship funds, hold club social events.
Road Code Ambassador I was nominated and elected for UPS
Road Code Ambassador for West Coast for 2016-17. I will be in chair
until March 2017, I promote and stress the importance of safe driving
in school and out. Along with this great opportunity there is a 1,500
scholarship attached to it and City Hall will be acknowledging me
November 1st, 2016

Volunteer Work and Community Service

(unpaid):

 Peer Counseling- I am currently a peer counselor in Carson Highs

College Center. As a peer counselor I assist students to make college
decisions. Being a peer has allowed me to take on leadership roles
because I know students who allow me to assist them are in my
hands.

Honors and Awards:

Honor roll- I was named in the Principals Honor Roll (3.75gpa) 10th
grade. I also was named Prominent Honor Roll in 9th grade and 11th
grade.
Over Achievers Award- I was the only junior in my class, a senior
class, for government and economics.
Honorable Mention- I received this award for writing a heart-felt
essay for the Beverly Hills Writing Contest.
Certificate of Recognition- I received this award from the city of
Carson for promoting safe driving around school and my community.

Employment:
I work at Skechers Outlet as a Sales Associate/ Cashier. My
Responsibilities include providing good customer service and obtaining
totals for guests. I utilize my earnings to assist with my family income
and college savings. (15-24 hr. / wk.)

Hobbies:
Reading: I enjoy reading because it allows me to think from different
perspectives and transfers me in to a new world. Books I read include:
