DEPARTMENT OF ATTACHMENT
I was first assigned to the public relations department where
welcome clients, talk to them and register them by taking
their particulars such as name , date of birth, place of residence
and receipt numbers of receipts issued to client after payment
of insurance premium and processing fees.
I was further trained on customer care and complain handling
such as misplaced receipt by client and have come to collect
their card, loss of cards and have come to seek replacement of
card and any other possible problem concerning human
relations.
I was moved later to the accounts department and the
accounts office.
I was thought how to manage petty cash, rules governing
receipts and payment system in the public sector, issuing of
receipts to the public relations department and preparation of
reconciliation.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION
In all I have learnt a lot in the organisation including customer
relations, record taking , registration of clients into the
scheme , handling complains, how to manage petty cash
CONCLUSION
I really enjoyed my attachment with the organisation
especially in the public relations department where interacting
with clients were sometime entertaining and at times stressing.
I also enjoyed the good relations given to me by the staff in
general. It really motivated me to work to my best ability.
I was ready to learn more but due to time limitation , I had to
end the attachment and return to school to continue academic
activities.
I would really appreciate the opportunity of another attachment
with the scheme on our next long vacation.
