Sweet Caroline, LET'S GO PITT!
H2P! The university of Pittsburgh (Pitt) was founded in 1787. It was originally names Pitt
Academy. Pitt is located right outside the city of Pittsburgh in a town called Oakland. Attending
the University of Pittsburgh sets one up for post- baccalaureate life because of it's appealing
surrounding city, it's outstanding learning program, and the plentiful things it has to offer. Such
as sports, extracurricular activities and much more
Attending the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt) sets one up for success in post- baccalaureate
life because of the appealing surrounding city. Pitt is located in Oakland, Pennsylvania. It is a
good thing that Pitt is located in the city because anything someone would ever need is within
miles. There are many activities to do around the campus; people can go shopping, go out to eat,
go to museums and much more. Some places are Chipotle, Looking Glass and many more
restaurants. Also, the port authority bus takes any student for free using his or her Pitt ID.
(pitt.edu.)Another reason why going to school in the city is good is because it may make it easier
to get a job after graduation. There are multiple jobs and different things to do in the city.
Someone could easily search for a job while still attending college.
Secondly, attending Pitt sets one up for success in post-Baccalaureate life because of it's
outstanding learning program. Pitt is very serious about the education there. The faculty working
at Pitt are all very experienced people. Classes are available Online, on campus, and some are
also offered at CMU.(collegeview.edu.) Students accepted into the University have at least a 3.75
GPA. Also when applying, SAT and ACT scores much be provided in order to apply. (college
board.org.) Getting accepted with a GPA below a 3.75 that is more difficult to get in. If one is

not accepted into the main campus, they may be accepted into a branch campus. On campus
there are career centers set up if there is ever help needed.(pitt.edu) There are some career
settings set up for specific majors as well. If someone wanted to change their major, or had
questions this is where they would go. For academics, there are a lot of classes offered. There is
an option to study abroad in many different places around the world. There is also 37 languages
offered. Pitt is admired by many people for their education program. (pitt.edu.)
In addition to its outstanding learning program, attending Pitt sets one up for success in
post Baccalaureate life because of the plentiful things it has to offer. Such as its ability to set
someone up with a job after graduation, the many extracurricular activates such as community
service, theater and more.(pitt.edu) Pitt offers many majors for students to take. It also offers a
lot of extra curricular activities.. There are a ton of sports offered. Some are: football, basketball,
tennis, volleyball, golf, swimming, diving and more. There are over 400 clubs offered also.
(pitt.edu) To learn about al of these activities, there are activity fairs held in the fall of spring.
In conclusion, attending Pitt sets one up for success in post- Baccalaureate life because of
its appealing surrounding city, its outstanding education program, and its plentiful things it has
to offer. the University of Pittsburgh is a well respected school across the country. Most students
who graduate from Pitt are very successful.
